I think they must try hard for Bogdanovic, the guy plays in an allstar level. With 3 levels game and close to 40% from 3 all his career. He will be a nightmare with Giannis,Holiday and Khris. They still will have Wes for the defensive role.
Man… if they get crowder and don’t have to give up Grayson or any key rotational piece it’s a win. This would be the bucks best roster. This team is constructed to have players that star in their role, unselfishness and leadership. Jae Crowder would need some time to ramp up but by the playoffs. A star, leader in his role with the heat and suns. If this happens look out!!!!
Love the commentary with the trade rumors. My favorite idea would be some kind of trade for Bojan from Detroit. I like the idea of crowder to fill that pj Tucker roll, but I hope we don’t give up too much for him.
I’ve been saying this for a couple of months now. Jae Crowder is our 5th Starter. We need a veteran to Guard Elite Wings with Size.
There is no one on this roster currently to Guard Tatum, Kevin Durant or Tobias Harris/Harden.
We will have to be beat at least one of these teams in a Seven Game Series. Hell, we may have to eat Two of these teams.
People on social media are saying that package is too much for Jae Crowder, but I think it's great. Ibaka is pretty much in the same situation as Crowder in milwaukee, Hill had his run but Jevon is the clear back up pg now, and don't even get me started on Nwora. Not having to give up Grayson is a massive W as well.
In the Finals vs the Bucks Jae Crowder averaged 11.5/8.5 shooting 41% from 3pt. Jae Crowder also had the second best in defensive rating for the Suns only behind Deandre Ayton.
he wasn't any good with Marquette either, huge mistake
I didn’t know Ersan averaged 25
If we can keep Grayson , then adding Crowder is definitely a win!
If the Bucks can actually get Jae Crowder without losing Grayson Allen the Bucks will be the most stacked team in the NBA. Our second unit will be better than many teams first unit. Starters will be Brook, Giannis, Jae, Khris and Jrue. Second Unit Bobby, Grayson, Pat, Jevon and Wes/Ingles if we're going ten deep. When Jevon Carter is your 8th guy on the Roster your so stacked! In our Finals Series Bucks only gave meaningful minutes to 7 guys. If Donte didn't get hurt we probably would have gone 8 deep in the finals.
If Bucks get Jae Crowder I think we'll have to start him. Starting lineup with be Brook, Giannis, Jae, Khris and Jrue. If we get Jae Crowder it's really going to eat up Joe Ingles and Wes minutes. Someone will be unhappy about their playing time. Joe's been playing so great I'd hate to see him lose his playing time.
If we need just to fill a roster spot I'd like to see us sign Eric Bledsoe. Let's help Bledsoe get a ring! He can play a few minutes when were resting guys on a back to back. I recall Bucks fans being so high on Eric Bledsoe back in the day some Bucks fans (not me) were saying trading for Jrue was a massive overpay and Jrue isn't even better than Bledsoe anyway. I disgreed with them then but I do think Eric could help carry some minutes during regular season especially when we're trying to rest guys in run up to the playoffs. So if we resting Jrue then Jevon can start and Eric would make a terrific 3rd PG. Better than George Hill IMO.
crowder trade needs to happen its been months of rumors
Mr. Pitman, the way y'all treated Ibaka was not nice at all. 2022 playoffs and 2021 playoffs Brooke played horrible. We are not gonna sugarcoat anything. He played horrible, that's why y'all got Ibaka. You guys didn't get Ibaka just to sit on the bench. Did y'all? All this Brooke is a defensive player of the year is nonsense. When he goes against the likes of Tatum and Joel Embiid, Brooke gets torched. dude has a big body and he's out there shooting threes as though he's Steph Curry. He is playing for a contract. Let's be honest. Instead of shooting threes all the time, he needs to get near the basket and score the ball. You guys gave Ibaka very, very little time on the court. I honestly feel bad for the guy. Don't just bring a guy and treat him the way want just because you can. And we watched the way you guys talked about Ibaka not returning to the Bucks. Don't treat people like that. I'm sorry, but some of us will be honest.
I wish we could keep Nwora or the pick for Crowder.
They Do Not need another old guy at the end of his career
Now that the offense has looked respectable within the small “Khris Middleton” sample size of games we’ve been given, I am all for a Jae Crowder trade. Although he doesn’t have the defensive prowess of PJ Tucker, I think he could just as important in a potential playoff run as PJ was in 2021. Watching the 76ers close out the Nuggets on national television helped me realize how valuable a defensive minded wing with the ability to guard all 5 positions can be. A Jae Crowder addition can take our already top-5 defense to another level when it matters most… in the postseason. We can only hope fresh legs and new scenery will help Jae produce on the offensive end with at least average to slightly above average efficiency. As long as our sharpshooters remain sharp come May, Jae will raise the ceiling of this squad against the other top dawgs of the East.
Jae Crowder trade. totally pointless
This deal for Jae with 3 or so srp's is another Horst masterclass imo. The only player in my eyes there that has any sort of value is Hill, for an old head and you know for sure what you're going to get, but he's behind Jevon now and will only be helpful in certain situations. The only thing that worries me is Jae going to fit in with the fabled "No Dickheads" policy. I'm not entirely sure his playstyle and personality does fit that but I'm willing to be proven wrong.
For anyone that doesn’t like a long comment…read at your own risk.
The Bucks should definitely trade for Crowder. The proposed trade for Crowder didn’t include Grayson Allen so that was a no brainer and if Grayson Allen is part of a trade that’s a no brainer too.
Grayson Allen has had the exact same season as last year…it’s scary how close the stats are. So he’s consistent..he is who he is. If Allen was the player he was against Chicago in the playoffs last year…well he’s almost an untouchable then. But wasn’t that before or since.
Kane said he can see the use of Crowder if they meet the Celtics later in the playoffs…well that is the whole reason to get Crowder. The Bucks will have to beat the Celtics to get to the Finals that is a given. Crowder would be a factor defensively against Philly in the forwards they present..he would help against Miami and Butler..be a part of a committee against Durant and the Nets…but most importantly be a big part of guarding Tatum and Brown. The Celtics start out with Tatum and Brown then they like at all times to keep one on the court. It would give Giannis a break from having to guard Brown and being more of the rover/help defender. But make no mistake when that series happens every Buck fan will want to see the competitiveness/the dog in Crowder guarding those guys instead of hoping Allen will somehow be a different player against the Celtics. And I’m not saying Crowder will shut those guys down…I mean what truly great player in the league can be shut down by a single defender…but Crowder has size/is a willing defender/be an irritant and will compete. Also not going to say he is as good as Tucker was for the Bucks but that’s exactly what the Bucks miss and will need against the Celtics.
Also Kane and others have said Crowder is only a PF and that’s an issue. Kane pointed out he was like 98% of the time a PF for the Suns..true. But the reason was…he was the only true PF the suns had. He had to play PF for them…who else was going to? Who else on their team was going to guard other teams PFs? If you look at his career before the Suns he guarded SFs and even two guards. A guy that is a defender first..a willing defender is going to take the challenge of guarding different positions. Look at Jrue taking on guarding Durant..and he was just as tough as most forwards are on Durant. But no one would make a statement…Jrue guards PFs…so don’t box in Crowder.
On offense Crowder is streaky but so is Grayson. Grayson gets some of the most open/uncontested 3s in the game because of Giannis…so to be fair when has Crowder ever in his career had those same looks..or really any shooter? That’s the Giannis effect.
I don’t care if this is just for this year…does anything else matter then the Bucks taken advantage of Giannis now?
The addition of Ingles..plus having Connington and Matthews helps negate the loss of Allen. But remember this is all about needing that defensive dog when it’s game 5/6/or 7.
I’ll go a step further if there is assets available where in total it costs Allen, Hill, Nwora, Ibaka and multiple 2nds…I trade for Cam Reddish as well.
I don’t know if there is anything there but if the Bucks think there is then it’s worth a flyer on him. To get what was a lottery pick and is only 23 for what it costs now….then would be worth it because it’s a way to add youth with talent that the Bucks will need with no future 1st round picks till 2029. Again..only if the Bucks think he has untapped talent.
Crowder is way better on defense than Joe. He very physical, and does not back down against other players. His defense tenacity is just that…he is a intimidating body.in the paint. He is not afraid to take, and make big shots. Look what he did in the finals against the bucks. Your kind of downplaying him, and I see why because bucks have been on fire recently, and that maybe has you kind of comfortable and bias if that makes sense. Jae Crowder can still play. He's smart on defense uses his feet, can hit open shots. But mostly his playoff experience is big. He's played with great players and a willing passer. He will be huge in a series when players are tired, he will beat them up a little more and make it tough to score easy baskets around the paint. We will see, but I'm not saying he will be pj but damn near close.
Jae will definitely help the Bucks in the playoffs. And Jae himself will feel love in Milwaukee. The Bucks will appreciate him as a player as and as a man. They did the same with Bobby Portis and brought the best out of him. It's a smart move by GM Jon Horst ,& yes, Coach Bud too
I was always a hard no on Crowder because I honestly thought it could only be done with Grayson. But if we can make it happen with Hill, Serge Nwora and a 2nd I feel that’s a win. Leaves open roster for buy out guys (unsure how this works with the cap tbh)
