The problems started by calling the team "team lebron" when he's like the 50th best player in the conference
The All-Star game should be played in the offseason. And only the winner team of that game will be call and All-Star the loser will not carry the title of an All-Star even on their resume for that year

The best all star game to watch is baseball. (I haven't watched a hockey game one in a while though. So I don't know). But Football don't try.. Basketball ? I don't root for anybody if my player ain't on there and I for sure ain't going to root for Team LeBron. Are they even separated by East and West anymore??? I'd rather watch the WNBA storm off the field….diamond…court whatever they play on or step on..the flag. — I just hate how MLB took the Allstar game from Atl last year. Totally hypocritical.—And they won the World Series that year for Hank Aaron. Yayyyyy.

The NBA All Star weekend and game is trash. The dunk contest allowed a non NBA player to participate and win. That’s how low it has gone. Don’t care if he’s a G league player that signed 10 day contract right before the game. This dude hasn’t even clocked any minutes on the court, and he’s participating? Total trash! Don’t care if he can jump out of the gym. The NBA is an exclusive fraternity. Also, although Mike Malone is right but can’t help to think that he’s bitter that his guy Jokic is not respected by the players and they are right. There are no more great centers in the league to challenge the Joker. Three times MVP? What a Joke. He doesn’t scare anyone because they know in a seven game series teams can play small because he can’t defend. What good is it if you’re seven feet and can’t block a shot. Warriors had Draymond green on him and almost swept them. If you’re the best basketball player in the world, you should be able to win one playoff series in your MVP years.

I remember one shot from the All-Star Game and that was when Michael Jordan's last All-Star Game falling out of balance at the time that hit the game-winning shot but I think Kobe Bryant went down the other end and won the game

I agree, the all-star. was good when the players gave a darn. And don't forget the rookie game (or whatever it is now). I used to get so excited for allstar weekend. The Rookie sophomore game on Fri, night the dunk contest on Saturday and the Allstar game on Sunday when it was competitive. The rookies wanted to make a name for their selves and the sophomores wanted to protect their spots. The Allstar game was out to show the world why they were the greatest players in the world and would go at each other to show why. Now the whole weekend is a three-point contest in the games and a warmup dunk line. Coach Malone is right, its atrocious. It's not catered to the people who love the game its catered to people who want to be at the game.
Five years from now no defense will be allowed, Lebron will still be picking teams even though he's retired and if he can't its because of racism and the final score will be in the 300's.This is Gen Z's version of basketball!

Jack up 3s or dunks. They can play harder and not get hurt, just know the limits of defending to not injure another player or themselves. Fell asleep during the 2nd quarter sometime and was awakened to some halftime cringe show.
There's no incentive to play hard… they have some questionable "donations" but a drop in the bucket. The extra curricular non-basketball festivities are cringe at best. This is why it should stay mainly east vs west (or switch it up like northern teams vs southern, big market teams vs smaller), could easily make incentives like winning team gets a bump in the draft vs losing conference, or initial home court advantage for Finals, players on the winning team get 1st dibbs of hosting all-star game at their arena, etc etc…

what they should do is count the win towards the All-star teams win loss total. The All-Star team that wins, all players take a regular season win towards their team.
All of these crappy ass sports leagues can go to hell. As a former sports junkie, I've found better things to do with my time than to listen to overpaid cry babies tell me how to think and live.
