I back your take on 6th, as long as they get better at closing out 4th, alot of people overlook just how close the losses are they are something like 7-21 in clutch time games, rim protection might have helped, a few bad bounces have changed the narratives to this team so far, but I feel like they can replicate last years post all star run
Love the talk of uncertainty. But in the end of the day this team is still play off fodder.
IMO this team got significantly better with Poertl, last in rebounding this year which has hurt us all year and probably account for at least 10 losses when accounted for plus the rim protection can leave players not having to constantly look over their backs to over help which is why we are dead last in 3 point percentage against also his screening wise he’s probably top 2 in terms of screening behind maybe adams. Lots of open looks now for our players. But most importantly alot of teams didn’t get better, wizards are still mid as hell, Chicago didn’t get better, ATL is mid, also I’d take Toronto vs Knicks all day. So even if we are in the play in I think we have a good chance with a top 5 defence.
Considering the starting lineup will probably Poeltl + Siakim + OG + Barnes and Van Vleet and the trade deadline has passed I expect the chemistry to return and the Raptors will be a top 10 defence.
If they don't get rid of Fred nothing will every get better.
