Man Jazz fans have their moments of toxicity but to me there are few fanbases in American sports that rival the Lakers’. Entitled, takes that are detached from reality, and just brutal on players and coaches. Every season they underachieve is a wonderful one in my book

As a whole I think we oughta be kinder to our athletes. What would you do if thousands of people flamed you and your family on Twitter for not being good at your job. At the end of the day, no matter how much you make or what you do, people should just be kind to each other.

This is why the internet is such a strange place.

We are labeled as the most racist fan base out there, but as long as I have been a fan with the internet I haven’t heard of us as fans tearing into our own player, but Lakers fans seem to be doing this pretty consistently. I mean wrestbrook was complaining about this same thing last year.

I know they are different things, but LA fans seem way more toxic.

This showed up on my for you page. As a Laker fan, I’m disgusted by our fanbase almost daily. Professional athletes don’t get enough credit for the verbal abuse they receive

What an absolute honor it must be to wear purple & gold and get treated like this.

The way he’s asking so nicely breaks my heart.

Lakers fan here. Sometimes it is an absolute embarrassment to be part of this fanbase. Before and after using social media and all that stuff, I would just watch a game and no matter the outcome I would just go on with my life. I don’t understand how some members of the fanbase would get so tilted that they would send death threats and harass our own players. Completely unacceptable behavior.

Beasley has been fun to watch and seems like a pretty chill dude. Man cannot even have fun with his kid. Smh.

  8. I’ve said my fair share of shit about NBA players, but Lakers fans are the type to directly @ them on twitter and insta.

People always wonder why young Laker players always tend to do better once they leave for another team. Might be because other fanbases actually treat them better and don’t completely shit on them for making mistakes.
