On one hand I understand a little bit of the frustration on him smiling immediately after the loss (especially the way he was involved at the end).
But at the same time we all have to realize that all of these players are humans and not just basketball players, very young humans at that.
He just played against the team that gave him his first full chance in the NBA who he was just literally with some weeks ago. Friendships and bonds created are much more important than the score of the game.
Plus we gave him like 6 figures on the way out as a thank you for his professionalism so I’d be doing the same thing lol

Isn’t he Canadian as well? Probably started with him taking a pic with fellow Canadians SGA and Dort (you can almost tell by their poses, turned into each other), a three person pic, then rest of this goofball team just swarmed him like it’s Omoruyi’s fault.
Tigershark_1028
He played so well for them, it’s really messed up to be mad at him for just taking a picture with his friends. Plus they’re tanking… what does it matter?

Hence why you’ll never be that successful. You can’t separate your feelings from business.

This is some quality virtue signaling. What an emotional clown.

I’ve lived in DET my whole life and am both a Pistons and OKC fan. I think that those who do not understand the context of how Eugene became a Piston are absolutely justified in their feelings. To those who know (mostly Thunder fans) it is understandable. Having said that, it is not a good look. If he took pics in the locker room or hung out it’s different. But for any Pistons fans to think he helped OKC win is ridiculous, Eugene is literally playing every minute 100% out there because his tomorrow isn’t promised.

Yikes that’s some weak ass shit from a weak ass franchise.

Am I crazy for agreeing with them? I would be pretty pissed if one of our players celebrated with and then took pictures with another team immediately after they hit a game winner on us. Maybe I’m just not enough of a homer enough

This is actually pretty sad. We’re seeing the effects of what a losing culture does in real time. It effects the organization, the locker room, and the fanbase.
If the tables were flipped, we would’ve been ok with this because that’s how tight, happy, and brotherly our locker room is. Clearly that isn’t the case for the Pistons, and that lack of fun is rubbing off on the fanbase.

Lol Omi hit a three in front of Thunder bench and totally showboated. Sga and the bench had quite the laugh.

Delusional. He went over to say hi to his friends post game, the photo just happened organically, it’s no insult to the Pistons and frankly they are the worst team in the league playing at the end of the regular season, this isn’t KD on the phone with Draymond after choking a 3-1 lead in the WCF.
