More flexibility needed as lack of adjustments lead to New Orleans Pelicans loss



The New Orleans Pelicans failed to clinch a Play-In Tournament spot as they lost badly to the Sacramento Kings. While the Kings took away Brandon Ingram the Pels struggled to make adjustments and find a way to win. Jake Madison breaks down how the lack of flexibility and adjustments cost the Pelicans the game.

    A loss is never good, but tonight's loss was probably good for the Pelicans.

    Getting the 5th or 6th seed is great, but the Pelicans do not matchup well with Phoenix or Sacramento. Pelicans would be better against Denver or Memphis.

    Without reliable 3 point shooting, this team has no chance and that is what Phoenix and Sacramento do well: shoot the 3.

    3 more games, finish strong

    You still think Zion need to come off the bench that is crazy this team will not go far without Zion maybe another first round exit maybe a play in exit but one thing for certain we need is Zion back in the lineup cuz other than Brandon Ingram there is no consistency with shot making and once they took away Brandon Ingram nobody else really showed up

    disagree Brandon did too much, that's point offense. Best player has the ball makes all the decisions. Kings slowed Pels pace with ball pressure and pels played against the shot clock. That's why if someone like Herb been running the show or anyone else all season, you'd have counters. willie do better

    As I said last episode Jake, when you were acting like the Pels had arrived without Zion. They won against teams that were under 500 and other teams who were resting their players. Remember you said when Zion comes back, bring Zion off the bench because BI is the man and don't mess with the chemistry. Bench CJ!!!!!!!!!. CJ cannot defend a statue. He is their weak link on defense. BI-PG, Jones-SF, TM-SG, Z-PF, and the center must be decided by who are you playing.

    Rebound Rebound Rebound , that why we lost this game. We have to win the Rebound War every night win or loose.

    We are a physical team period. That starts with rebound. Just like that Vicous Pelican Bird, we have to be ready to EAT THE OTHER TEAM WHOLE EVERY NIGHT.. LOL.. !!

    Finally we need Big Z back. He gives us the "4 out 1 in Post up game we are missing. BI and CJ are mid range assasins. they will cut up anyone in the mid range game. We have enough knock down 3 shooters. We need that missing post up and driving game from Big Z. When Big Z get back look out. We could go deep in playoff.. should be fun..

    This team has been and still is poor at adjusting to the other teams' adjustments. If CJ or Trey isn't lighting it up. We can't beat good teams. There are too many turnovers. o many mistakes in bounding the ball. Too inconsistent.

    It can be as simple as that Kings are a really good team. The Princeton offense they run is picture perfect, and everyone seems to be able to make plays for others. Ngl we can't match up against this team in a series. Denver, Suns, or Grizz would be better. Even with Zion back, Pels' defense would struggle.

    Time to bench cj he's awful can't guard anyone isoes too much and always kills the teams momentum with a stupid shot . If you don't trade him at least make him the 6th man

    Willie Green got out coached again (what else is new). I get that Mike Brown should be COTY but WG got lapped in coaching this game. I know people wanted to act like the Pels were hot stuff with beating up on bad and injured teams but the season ain’t over yet. Don’t get complacent now!
