  1. how can you seriously be against the Mavs for doing what they did but being ok with what the Jazz or what the sixer's did? Both of them are equally disgusting. Still think the bottom 3 teams should NOT be eligible for the lottery. Just put them in the 4th, 5th and 6th slot of the draft and let the 4th thru 14th get a shot at the lottery so teams will have no choice but to field a somewhat competitive team. I'm a sixer's fan but what they did was disgustingly embarrassing to the city and real fans. You had fans filling the stadium cheering for them to lose. The team was so bad that one year all the owners complained that they couldn't market games against the sixer's so their solution was to give the sixer's majority road games up until February so the meaningless games against the sixer's were at home so nobody lost money cause sixer's fans was selling out home games. They literally traded MCW and KJ Mcdaniels cause they won 2 games in 1 week. That to move was much worse cause Hinkie's business model was to tank for several years cause he had "The longest view in the room". You guys forgot that quick about that 14 page resignation letter when he got demoted. SMH!!!!

  2. Clearly these analysts are speaking from a general, NBA fan point of view and not from a die-hard Mav's fan point of view.

As a Mav's fan, I'm upset that we didn't make the play-in and not that we tanked. Even if we won the last 2 games (which is almost certain given the state of the Bulls and Spurs at those times), we still wouldn't make the play-in because OKC also won their last 2.

As Mavs fans, we all know the roster (and coaching) deficiencies which we want to address if we want to make a playoff run for the upcoming seasons. Our season is going nowhere, and it is more detrimental for us that we lose the 10th pick and not make a significant roster overhaul next season.

Letting your emotions take over by fighting for a lost cause is stupid and costly in the end. There is no shame in retreating from battle in order to consolidate, regroup, and fight the next battle stronger than before.

  3. the mavs should be forced to give up their lottery protected pick anyway on top of the fine. mavs shouldn't be allowed to keep the pick regardless

  4. They should've find him millions of dollars and take that draft pick away me as a Dallas Mavericks fan I was disgusted and very disappointed of what they pulled off it was a waste of the fence time and money he should also refund the fans money as well

  5. Oh please ! Philly did this shamelessly for years and even had the audacity of terming it as “the process”. Selective Criticism is hilarious

  6. This was hypocritical and selective outrage lots of teams tanked this season and every season, Maverick fans are happy that Cuban did the best thing for the organization

  7. This gotta be the worst season in Mavs history the expectations were somewhat high even before the kyrie trade.

  8. Laughable the NBA is the problem, now want Lakers to win the championship. The playoffs are rigged, Joe Dumars knows what's going on.The NBA is horrible now every others does do what Dallas is do the NBA is rigged I hope when does it Broussard has the same energy.can't believe Rob isn't Calling out other teams for doing the same thing.

  9. Schadenfreude moment seeing this dirtbag being called out as the clown he is. The fine is laughable as it will have no impact, but it does my heart good seeing Cuban getting raked over the coals. Between this garbage, his perennial habits of losing excellent players to see them blossom elsewhere, the consistent inability to recruit marquee free agents to join his teams, and the appalling lack of control of his franchise office with the sexual assault scandal (which ofc he knew nothing about); it's just one embarrassment after another that makes me genuinely feel bad for the good people in Dallas that pay top dollar for Mavs game tickets. Dude needs about a hundred iron-stick level suppositories as punishment. Really wish people would call him out more, hard to really imagine anything stopping this garbage from continuing in the future. Luka saved his publicity by diverting so much attention from that assault scandal, and he's gotten next to nothing in return; that dude should bolt to another team the moment an option becomes available. Sad that Luka has to be in this garbage situation

  10. Nba is scripted, Dallas did not want to loose to Lakers who re promoted by nba, all the free throws, injuries, suspensions everything to promote lakers higher. Memphis will be another victim after wolvs. Cuban have seen what they are doing and did a move before…😊

  11. Utah front office was literally trying 2 tank but they were winning some games….what about the integrity of the game with them?…they "threw in the towe"l at the BEGINNING of the season…they shouldve been punished more….their roster was bad too because they traded away their stars!….come on Rob and Chris!! WTF….he really said " part of the business" with Utah?!?

  12. Well clearly if they are tanking because of draft picks, you punish them with draft picks. Change the formula of the lottery; the teams that make the Play-in will have better odds of getting #1 draft pick than the worst 8 teams in the league.
I bought into the Patrick Ewing conspiracy because it was David Stern, but going forward from that, I think it was a good idea, and now the natural progression is rewarding the teams who didn't tank.

  13. I'm starting to understand why Rob gets on the phone. Chris won't stop talking and rants forever. Doesn't let Rob chime in easily either. Rob becomes disinterested and just waits for Chris to call on him.

  14. And why should the Mavericks tank, to get a slightly better chance to get a good draft pick? Based on probability, the Mavs did this to move from something like the 11th or 12th pick in the draft, up to the 10th spot. Are you going to get a future All-Star with the 10th pick, but not with the 11th or 12th? And you showed your fans that even with Luka and Kyrie, you are willing to tank and skip the playoffs. That's not very inspiring if you are a Mavs fan considering renewing your season tickets for next year.

  15. I agree with both of you! I truly believe that the Los Angeles Lakers would have been eliminated from the playoffs had teams actually tried to win the games! Some teams hid that they are tanking. Others do it right in our faces by not even trying! Just so they can have a higher draft pick!

  16. So player restrictions are ok 81 games but the last one is going too far, should easily get overturned on appeal

  17. Oh bs, teams tank all the time, the Mavs had an ice cube's chance in hell. Let's get real here. It's more dishonest to pretend

  18. imo, those teams that barely missed the playoff deserve the best odd for 1st pick. this is the best solution. we all know 9th seed is THE WORST POSITION, not only you didn't make any playoff profit, but also got punished for playing hard, but just either not good enough or not lucky enough. in contrast, those tanking teams basically just done some cardio and get paid millions, and being rewarded. NBA is so dumb.

  19. The most beautiful punishment would have been to strip them of that very draft pick that they undermined the integrity of the game for
