Important moment for the franchise – leading virtually the entire game the Knicks lost the lead with 2 minutes to go and the Cavs had all the momentum – but the Knicks fought back and won the game – huge win – character gut check – GO KNICKS GO!!!! PS – Josh Hart had a great game. There is one Knicks starter who shot poorly and was a minus -15 but we will keep it positive and not call anyone out.
RJ better show up. It's time for him to be that third solid scorer on this team. We are not asking him to be that franchise player that me personally has come to the realization that he is NOT, and honestly will NEVER be. If not, management should make a conscientious effort to reunite him with fellow college teammate Zion William and put a package together for Brandon Ingram.
Randle and Barret need to stop ball hogging and keep the hot hands cooking, Quickley, Toppin and Grimes lead by Brunson were the storm… 3 turnovers in row and missed shots, by Barret, Randle in the 4th almost buried the victory. Coach needs to find better balance, Quickley needs more playing time and shots. Unselfish play is team spirit.
People really forget that Brunson was a Assassin at Villanova and a 2 time champion and MVP final four too. Basically dude is a winner and you know who else was on one of those championship teams with Villanova with Brunson – Josh Hart!!! Mavericks lost a Gem in Brunson!
The thing about Brunson that makes him good and why maverick’s should have kept him is that he is a team player and knows he’s role anytime a player knows his role that is a player you want on your team and he knew his role beside luka which made that team good!
Randle is embracing and encouraging Brunson as being the team leader and that is a could quality. Knicks should try and trade Barret and Toppin for a star wing to bolster their championship contention.
