When your star player shits the bed for whole first halves and your other star barely takes shots while your defensive minded point guard takes all the clutch shots then changes need to be made. Trade someone or hire a new coach. This shit isn’t working.
Those harden game winners changed everything, obviously. Props to him, he’s an all-timer and has been the best player in the series even with 2 dud games. Wish we had a player on his level
What a weak take. Don’t tell me this team doesn’t need significant changes. It’s not a stretch to say top to bottom the Celtics are the most talented team in the league. But they play soft as hell. Been this way for years.
Edit: How tf can you watch these games and disagree lmfao
People just need to stop being attached to players.
Yeah a lot of these takes just conveniently leave out the fact that we are losing to another fucking great team. Reading this subreddit you would think we are blowing games to the Spurs.
Who said blow it up?
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
We need someone like Wendell Carter Jr, he would be a good Al replacement.
Our best player is 25. The list of teams who’ve won it with a 25-year-old alpha is very short.
There will be some changes, but they shouldn’t hit our top 7. We just need continued growth from our best players and a lot of growth from our coach.
Someone remind me what the Celtics did in ‘82 and ‘83, after WINNING the championship…
If/when they lose the series it’s definitely gotta be end of the line for this core. Hopefully keep one of the Jays. At least if the goal is to win a title and not just to make a few decent playoff runs.
I think they need to retool the center position
Horford ain’t it anymore for a full season, Timelord is never going to be the same player and Luke Kornet is Luke Kornet
Have no idea how to retool it but I feel like that is the biggest change that should happen if we are bounced on Thursday or Saturday if we make it to game 7
Anyone who says the jays just doesn’t understand how roster construction works; who would they even trade Tatum or brown for?
We have 2 more years with our entire core. We don’t need to blow it up.
Why do we need to blow it up, we’re going to win a championship this year. On a side note, would you want Draymond Green on this team, he’s on the move next year.
They should hire one of these reddit geniuses as head coach! Clearly we have all the answers… prob 10 chips in a row with yall at the helm!
If you think we should trade Tatum or JB you’re a moron.
Yes but Mazulla still needs to go. Keep everyone else.
1) Frustrating as hell to see this team lose winnable games
2) Tatum and Brown are still the best duo in the league AND they’re young
3) They can still win the series by winning two in a row, WHICH THEY DID IN GAMES 2-3
Agree. People who think this teams championship window is anywhere near close to being over don’t know basketball.
There is a legit reason this team hasn’t been stellar and that the coaching inconsistency, last time we had a coach more than a year we were living in the ecf with a team half as talented.
