  1. The best prospect in all sports? Well at the age of wenbanyama Mbappe was the best scorer in french soccer championship and win the mondial. Nadal win his first grand slam.

  2. Yo jimmy, first time I have ever called you out on a mistake, but Irvin Johnson led the lakers to 3 chips and stayed a laker. IDK how you snub him, kareem was old as hell at that point.

  3. Why not just enjoy the moment? Sorry but this thinking is why is so many is miserable with their life…

  4. The Holts own/manufactures construction equipment here in SA. Super friendly and nice people. You would never expect they own the spurs

  5. People said Lebron was the Chosen and others didn't believe in him but look at him now, history repeats itself especially when one goat leaves the league another must take over.

  6. In all fairness to dirk, he had to deal with Kobe, Duncan, LeBron, Shaq, Vince Carter, and many more more top 20 players in NBA HISTORY

  7. WELL I know we aren't going to our nba final in Wemby's 1st year…if we did then thats something special but i know even when we drafted Robinson decades ago , Wemby's gonna have to get adjusted to NBa life, the Spurs system etc. So with that said i do believe by his 2nd or 3rd season my Spurs will be something not to reckon with! Go Spurs Go!

  8. 16,000 in 500,000 high schoolers will go on to play in college at any level. of that number only 110 per year will play at all in the NBA but we decide who will be a star based on how they played against high school and college players 99% of whom are awful compared to the avg NBA player.

  9. I legit think Wemby is too French to be a generational talent…Tony Parker is the best French player to ever play in the NBA and probably won’t be dethroned anytime soon.

  10. I don't agree on certain things you did or said in this video :

    – Taking that sample of the 1st picks in the last 25 years contributes to having making a strong case for your argument but that sample is less relevant because you take into account the past 5 years. It is extremely rare for a player to win at least one championship in his 5 first seasons, even more amongst 1st picks. If you're sample takes into account players who haven't gone past their 5th season, it will highlight you point of view but that means 5 players are not worth taking into account in the sample you took.
Going from the 1992 draft to the 2017 draft seems more relevant and from 6 players having won championships, you jump from 6 to 9 1st picks who ended up winning a championship (from 24% to 36%).

    – I'm French but I also speak English, Spanish and Italian which allows me to talk to people from the US and from European countries, what comes out of my conversations is that the hype for Wembanyama is very real in Europe like it was for Luka, in the US, I sense a tendency to overlook the European players but still, it seems the NBA and franchises isn't overlooking him, you talked about LeBron getting a high school game on national television, for Wemby it's the NBA that bought the rights to put Wemby's game on their platform, it also has never happened before. I'm not saying he is the best prospect in the NBA history though it could be argued between Ralph Sampson, Magic, LeBron, Davis and him who is.
Also being the best prospect doesn't mean getting the most media coverage.

    – He isn't going to make the Spurs win a championship next year, that's obvious but he is a young player who has been playing in a professional league against adults, not the NCAA, chances are if he stays healthy he can have Ralph Sampson type of impact (+15/20 wins).
His health is the biggest concern regarding him and might the only one, he works hard, he is gifted as hell and can improve a lot.

  11. VERY interesting. But I think there's a better example than any of these. He's largely forgotten now but Pete Maravich remains the most celebrated rookie of all time and yet he never was voted league MVP in his 10 seasons, he was never the NBA scoring leader and never played on a championship team.

Basketball people know about Wembanyama as well they should. Personally I think he is the greatest prospect ever. But grandmothers who couldn't care less about basketball and had never seen a game at any level knew who rookie Pete Maravich was. He was on prime time TV ads for products that have nothing to do with basketball, as a rookie.

  12. This video once again makes me so grateful I got to watch Toronto win a ring man. It's incredibly difficult to win a ring

  13. Zion is gifted, but he is not as intelligent and emotionally mature as Wembanyama. Wemby has grown up playing in Europe like Nikola Jokic and Luca Doncic. If he can stay healthy, and come into the league with their mindset, his added size and quickness could make him extremely valuable. Physically, at age 19, he still has the body of a lanky teenager. Give him three years to fill out and learn the nuances of NBA culture. WIth Rudy Gobert, France vs USA should be a good game during the Olympics.

  14. the raptors went W27-L48 in 2020-2021 and W48-L34 in 2021-2022 right after they drafted scottie barnes, thats a 21 game turn around so he should have been included in your list

  15. That’s not truth about Wemba. It’s just a general fact about chances on winning a championship with No.1 pick. From a Spurs fan’s perspective, I don’t expect we can jump straight to the top in the first season if Wemba joins. But he surely gives us hope.

  16. The amount of effort and research you put into your videos is astounding. However, I want him to instantly succeed as an all-star so you eat your words.

  17. You notice how LeFLOP is not in the list of the team that drafted him to help it to multiple championships 6:36

he just goes around trying to create superteams regardless of who the team is. LeTRASH….

  18. Hopefully, the media and their expectations don't make a narrative of a bust, when this kid doesn't behave like a 7'4" Michael Jordan, because if he was something like 6'8", nobody would talk about him as a prospect for the draft, i hope he can achieve his potential sooner than later, but as Jimmy said, he is not going to be like Lebron on the WNBA.

  19. After the massive flop that was Zion Williams I will NEVER let myself get swept up by the hype train. I hope this young man is everything they say he is but until he becomes that I won't care. Zion's hype masters had everyone excited for the next Shaq but we ended up with the Peter Griffin of the NBA.
