Itamar: “Cam Whitmore will also be firmly in contention for Houston at No. 4, as the Rockets’ confidence in landing James Harden could lead them more toward wing options, especially those with better floor-spacing potential such as Whitmore.”

Hey, how about we don’t make decisions based on harden only like we have over the last 10 years 👍🏾

  2. I’ll be pretty upset if we let a potential James Harden signing determine who we draft at #4 this year.

Harden isn’t good enough to be driving major franchise decisions like this anymore.

We lost prime Harden, to tank, just to bring back post-prime Harden?

Come on man, knock it off with this shit. Loved what he did but I don’t want him back here.

Marcus Sasser will have a better career than Amen Thompson

  5. nitra007

I wouldn’t hate it, but picking just because they are a better fit for harden I don’t like.

Please enlighten me on why Cam Whitmore is better than Ausar Thompson

Like Cam is not an elite 3 point shooter. He shot 1% better than Ausar did on a shorter line

Not to mention he’s a generationally bad playmaker and is super raw in general

Why not still draft Amen who’s the better player and use KPJ to get a floor spacing wing?

Loving it give me Whitmore at 4 I’ll take it

Yeah, I like Itamar but he ain’t plugged in like that. This is just him speculating, as it always is when he posts stuff like this.

  10. I’m good with not taking Amen if we think there are better options, but picking for fit around Harden would be a mistake IMO.

I read this as expectation, not necessarily based on anything Givony and Woo were told.

We won 22 games last year. We should take BPA all day

Sweet, I would love to have Harden back and it sounds like it’s going to happen.

  14. DumbestFanBase

I don’t care at this point. Let me know when the roster is done and then I will care

  15. harden4mvp13

Nah if we draft Whitemore I’m gonna change fanbases lol

  16. I’m on team sign Harden if we can and I still think making a draft decision based on that would be a mistake. Take the best player available

That being said I have questions about pretty much every option we’ll likely have at pick 4. I’m not going to be mad at it if they do their due dilligence and find Whitmore to be the best (I don’t see it yet though) but I will be mad if it’s the pick just based on fit with a guy we aren’t guaranteed to sign

Even as someone that is really in favour of getting Harden this is a stupid decision.

The logic behind getting Harden is to get a playmaker that can help the others grow and hopefully drag them to some play in/playoff experience. If FO is trying to create a win now team around Harden we are fucked

Whitmore will come in for a workout for due diligence and that’s pretty much it. These smokescreens get weaker every year. Surprised everyone fell for Orlando’s last year.

    Wemby -> Scoot -> Amen -> Miller

    That’s the order.

  19. JengaKing12

This is really simple. Just go BPA and swing for upside, which will either be Amen or Miller.

NEVER draft for fit unless you’re on the doorstep of a title
