GSW is a bit overrated when it comes to organization. GSW won mainly because of Curry playing out of his mind and D Green being part time coach. But when you really looked at their drafting and player development, it does not compare to heat. GSW core players were all first rnd draft picks (outside of Green). They blew their draft chance with Wiseman and has not really developed anyone (Poole is first rnd pick as well). Heat can form a team from the street and turn them into NBA team. Thats how good they are. Their budget is also just in the middle of the pack. Outside of Butler/Bam maybe, they can be the lowest budgeted team to make the finals

It's so interesting to see that Miami Heat were probably the least liked team in 2011,fighting against the ultimate underdog and now in 2023 they are the biggest underdogs. This went full circle. Hopefully this Heat team gets the chip.

Riley finding and mentoring Erik Spoelstra is one of the best moves in NBA history. Tonight marks his 6th visit to the finals…that puts him up there with some pretty rare company. His rise from “video guy” to NBA champion is unprecedented.
