  1. Every team is going to avoid it, it’s so damn penalizing even outside of just the money

Jake also reiterated on this pod that he expects DLo to get around 2 years, 40 mil from someone.

  3. Good, better to have flexibility. The rules are set up to fuck people who go over the 2nd apron. Why would you want to fuck yourself?

The new CBA will be phased in. Why are we assuming they wouldn’t phase in the 2nd apron when it would allow teams time to adjust (GSW, LAC, etc.)?

I love how the NBA is continuing to reward the shit/middle of the pack teams that are too trash or scared to spend to be competitive.

The tax penalty was already enough with Golden State’s payroll being $300M+ but shit like putting a limit on who can get a buyout is just pathetic.

  6. Everyone but the clippers and the warriors will treat it like a hard cap

Maybe the tax apron makes big markets like LA even more attractive like in the past… ?

I don’t get it. Pretty soon actually good players are just gonna be sitting in free agency unable to sign with teams at this rate. Is that what I’m getting? Or having to settle for shit contracts.

The talent across the league is way more spread out than ever.

Also the stupid ass super max shit is doing more harm than good imo.

  9. Yeah the second apron is bad, I think most teams will try to avoid that unless absolutely impossible

  10. Hopefully Jeanie saw what happened when they let Caruso walk for nothing and won’t let the same thing happen again

Buha says they don’t want to go over the first apron.

Makes sense to me. But we got a lot of people here that like telling other people what to do with *their* money. Spend smarter. Not more.

Well, looks like it’s time to start saving up for DLo’s contract. Anyone got spare change?
