Why not draft our Dillon replacement? – Let me introduce to you, one, Kobe Brown

According Adam Spinella of the Box And 1 Podcast and YouTube channel, Kobe is a 23 year old athlete with a lot of defensive versatility given his length, size, and lateral quickness. That goes without mentioning his shooting upside that you can note in the states above. According to Adam’s latest big board, he’s the 25th best player in this year’s draft.

As an older prospect, he fits our timeline and is described as a great character and locker room guy while being able to do almost anything could ask of him as a starting 3 or small-ball 4.

He could be a perfect get for us if we decide to use our draft pick and he happens to be still on the board. Let me know what you think.

  1. The Grizzlies have Roddy/LaRavia/Ziaire all drafted higher than the 25th pick and they are a mixed-bag of results. Being 23 ≠ a good thing in all cases particularly when it is a late FRP/early SRP. His shooting was impressive, on low volume, this year but look at the other three years of his college career.

The Grizzlies are competitive RIGHT NOW, they do not need more prospects they need blue chip talent. They can still draft talent but cannot expect draft picks to replace Brooks Y1.

I’m fine with taking a good player in this draft but only if you can get another deal done for a veteran SF. Which I’m not sure can be done without this years pick, but it’s possible.

We better pickup a ja replace right now

I like this dude. He’s a versatile dude. Like a draymond lite.

Watched a lot of Mizzou ball over the past few years and I’ve always seen the kid as more of an undersized 4 who could play the 3 if needed. He is a very strong rim attacker and good vertical threat. Similar player to Roddy but more athletic and less skilled, both play hard as hell every position. I’d be happy with the pick, you can never have to many switchable bigs in todays nba.
