Didn’t they just let Rui go to keep Kuzma. Holy shit what a cursed organization.
Also Kuzmas quote from ‘19 is “I’d rather be talked about bad in LA than play in Orlando and not get talked about”
Kuzma balled out this season and deserves to get paid, but I don’t think I’d want to pay him what someone else will. Not because he’s going to regress, but I just don’t think he would be happy in Indy and might disrupt a lot of our good vibes.
I am way more interested in developing Hendricks/Walker into what we need than bidding and overpaying for Kuzma who obviously would rather be in a Miami or LA type market. We need a defensive presence at the 4 anyway.

He’s turned into a pretty good player, but his value is at an all time high right now. There are teams in the right position to make that overpay and try for a deep run (Kings being a great example), but we are not one of those teams.
