Lol im from the Dallas area and im telling you that the mavs organization absolutely hates the Lakers. They probably traded for kyrie to be able to hold him from the lakers. So if getting Buddy keeps him from LA, those fools would do it. They not worried about a championship, they care more about blocking LA
You lost me at getting both GTJ and Hield. The team already has AR @ SG and will most likely have 2 of the following PG’s in CP, DLo, Dennis, J.Carter
Having both would forgive us another guard heavy team forcing AR/Hield/GTJ to play SF and we’ll have the same problems as last year where we were too small on the perimeter
I’d do this trade for the Lakers all day! Can I interest you in adding Myles Turner for the 2029 1st to sweeten the pot? So it would be a pick swap with Indiana for the 26th and 29th for our 17th, then Toronto gets the Lakers 2029 1st as part of payment for OG (since it was rumored they turned down a three 1sts offer last year).
Lakers ultimately receive Hield, Trent, and Turner plus the draft picks traded back with Pacers for 26th and 29th this year. Raptors get Dlo, Bamba, two 1sts from Pacers and Lakers 2029 1st. Pacers get OG, Beasley, pick swap for Lakers 2023 17th overall for their 26 and 29.
That’s a balanced trade for all parties. Let’s go!!

Maybe a bit of undervaluing of buddy. He's legitimately one of the best volume shooters of all time. Hes several tiers above a guy like Beasley who makes volume 3s only. If you dig into buddy's numbers he's easily a top shooter ever especially with the high volume. That guy is worth more than a 17th pick
I doubt the Mavs actually want Hield. Hield is one of the worst defenders in the NBA. Their focus is on defensive players that can knock down open threes. Like OG

dallas isn't getting hield for free. they would swap their 10th for indiana's late first or perhaps the 10th goes to tor and ind throws in one of their late first.

Lakers need to focus in addition to a CP3 point guard, having a good back up center so A.D. can move to a 4 so they can complete with a team like Denver.

The problem is we are the lakers and we have lebron. No team wants to help either of them. An also Jeanie is right with the picks because those our cheap contracts. Paying buddy and Gary, Austin, rui, bron, Ad, another center plus a bench I don’t see it. Remember how cheap she is. The bubble chip was a blessing because our 2 old and fragile stars got a 4 month break to rest and heal. The luxury tax would be too high for the type of role players we need to get our stars through 82 plus games.
