  1. That call was garbage. Cost the Rangers the game. Just awful, and on a video challenge!

  2. Rangers got screwed in the 8th
    Andrus was out at HP
The catcher did not block HP!
Don’t know what you’re smoking in NY, but you F’d UP!

  3. How about this….when you are up 6-4 late in the game….DON'T BLOW THE GAME WITH OUR TRASH BULLPEN and when you have the bases loaded numerous times in the game, if your name is NOT Seager…..GET A FREAKING HIT….and all this other mess would not matter….

  4. If this isn’t an out then 90% of the plays at home plate should be overturned, including the out that MLB had the nerve to celebrate on their Twitter no more than 20 minutes after this insane ruling.

  5. MLB needs to be ashamed of thesmevles for making that call at HP because clearly Jonah Heim did everything that he was supposed to do and Elvis Andrus is out. Also another thing, its bad juju all over again like why are you shifting against Elvis when you know that he can hit opposite field?!?!?!?

  6. MLB robbed the fans of a great game. I was watching the White Sox broadcast, and they were 100% sure the call would stand and didn't even consider the possibility of a violation for blocking the plate.

  7. Holy shit what a joke. You can't block the lane when you're literally behind home plate. Nothing Heim did affects the runner's ability to get to the plate here. When you see rulings like this — ON REPLAY — it has to make one wonder.

  8. Dont see the problem here. Andrus would have been obviously safe if heim was not there or if the throw was off line

  9. Baseball now has it's "was it a catch" rule that can be interpreted in many ways by different individuals.

  10. Great throw, great tag, clearly out, legal play. Seems like somebody didn't want the Rangers to win. Conspiracy theories being proved right again and again.

  11. By the RULES — by the "letter of the law" — it's obstruction: the catcher's foot was on the plate before he had possession of the ball. That's anal, but it's TECHNICALLY obstruction. Umpires are given a lot of leeway with this. In PRACTICE, the umpire didn't rule obstruction, because the runner had a clear path to the plate. The problem is that New York (Replay) doesn't interpret player intention. They go by the EXACT rule, and rather anally so. That's their policy; it always has been. I don't agree with them being that rigid, but I see their point in having that policy.
