Fucking fuck, how often does a talent like cam fall to 17 and you dont get him.

  2. yepitsdevon

Damn, I wonder how bad Cam’s baggage actually is.

Edit: The Heat and Warriors passed on him too, holy shit. Must be really bad. Dude went from a consensus lottery pick to potentially falling out of the Top 20.

  3. Have no idea about the kid. Any insights about him? Anyone?

  4. Dmbfantomas

There’s got to be a reason that guy is free falling.

  5. Life_Ad_9518

great pick and roll point guard. really good defender too. shot well in the deep midrange and shot 38% on above the break 3s. he’s a baller, his only concern is finishing.

    6’5.5 in shoes

  6. Fricolor123321

Cam has to have committed crimes against humanity or sumn

  7. Gotta trust the scouting department and Jesse Buss on this one

  8. 41% from the field in college 33% from 3 and 77% from the Free throw yeah sounds like a Laker

  9. No-Equipment-20

I’m going to trust the scouting department on this one

  10. conwaythemachine

    Another guard who can’t shoot

    Nice man

  11. MrAppleSpoink

Clearly something about Cam’s health is really, REALLY wrong

  12. MuffinMate

This dude is a goat as an iu student that went to half the home games. Definitely a player that can translate easily into the nba

  13. Ugh. Even if we keep the pick, I can’t believe we took a guard

  14. LingDaKingofXing

Not a fan of the pick, but the Lakers scouting department has done magic for us in recent drafts. Again not a fan of the pick, but the Scouts and Phil Handy have earned my trust.

  15. readtoachieve

Sounds like Dlo/Reaves, not sure why we need another big P&R guard

  16. ViperishTuba86

Not too familiar with this kid but he’s a 6’5 PG. Looks like Rob finally learned that size is also important.

  17. fedswatching2121

Everyone acting like they know better than a scouting department who has 100x more NBA and recruiting experience 🤣

  18. People really doubting our scouting? In Jesse buss we trust.

  19. GutsTheSwordsman

Seems like a good guy, hope the three-ball improves and he builds strength.

Trust in the goat lakers scouting squad.

  20. opeth2310

He’s a bigger Scottie Pippen Jr. Not my favorite pick and wanted some more shooting. Really surprised Jett went as early as he did I figured he would’ve been who Lakers wanted.

  21. dont know how he will get any PT next season with lakers current roster… hopefully rob will be making some moves.

  22. I think it was a solid pick. Love his feel for the game as a playmaker, has good film and seems like a very good defender. Not the best athlete but is good enough and has great size.

  23. MileHighHoosier

I’m an IU season ticket holder and a big fan of JHS. Imo, he’s a great pick for a team with stars that needs someone who can contribute immediately by distributing the ball on offense and playing solid on-the-ball defense. He has a great mid range game and is awesome in the pick and roll. He was a streaky three-point shooter, but I think he’ll improve and his shooting will become a weapon. I hope he does great for you guys.

  24. FrenzyTotems

He got that Jordan Clarkson/Dinwiddie vibes man, already deadly in the mid range and PNR

  25. IU fan here. Fini can play PG or SG. Defensively he doesn’t cover laterally well and gets blown by too much, but he has good instincts and strength. Offensively he is a great PnR guard. He can literally do it all from there. Has a really good shot, he will end up a 40% 3pt shooter at some point. Mid range game is so smooth and his floater is great. Ceiling is maybe just outside an all star. Oh I almost forgot, dude is cold blooded. Really good at scoring down the stretch. Insanely clutch for a freshman.

  26. ImBmitch

IU fan – y’all got a lockdown defender who is clutch and never rattled. Mid range assassin who can play off ball but is crazy off the dribble. He’s gonna be coachable and should be able to get the ball where it needs to be and play solid D this year. Kind of Kawhi/OG Anunoby demeanor but not awkward af

  27. Complete-Rooster-578

Him and Max and Vando are going to be scary post Bron

  28. Ryosuke16

I wanted JJJ but let’s see what’s this guy is made of.

  29. ColeHoops

Drafting someone because they shot a high % from three because “we need shooting” is a Michael Jordan type draft move. You draft the guy you truly believe can become a player that both sticks in the NBA and ideally contribute in the playoffs. If our scouts and FO believe JHS is that guy, I trust. So excited for the kid, I mean look at him lmao he looks like a star. Christie, Reaves, JHS…the future looks really nice.

  30. Pirateshippingit

I like it. Would’ve loved Hawkins but pelicans of course took him first. Kinda liked nick smith jr at 17 cuz of his defense but JHS was a good pick he’s a really good playmaker can get to the basket just needs to shoot consistently from three but I like it

  31. Complete-Rooster-578

Pat Riley AND the warriors passing on Whitmore tells me everything I need to know about him

  32. chugalaefoo

I don’t know Jack shit about him but I just watched his highlights.

    Nothing flashy at all.

But seems very poised and under control for a freshman guard.

Reminds me of AR a bit actually lol.

  33. autistic_hybrid

I’m keeping receipts on anyone trash talking JHS. This is such a fucking win I can’t believe it.

  34. moongaia

Jalen Hood-Schifino is a 20-year-old combo guard who’s projected to either be a lottery pick or fall just outside of the lottery. At 6′ 4” with a 6′ 10” wingspan, Hood-Schifino has some solid physical tools to compete at the NBA level.

At his best in the pick-and-roll,” Kevin O’Connor wrote for The Ringer. “He plays with great pace, using his screen to get into the middle of the floor, where he can pull up from midrange or dissect the defense with various passes to his rolling big. Hood-Schifino is a super-talented combo guard who has a more-dependable 3-point shot than what he showed in his one season at Indiana,” Gary Parrish wrote for CBS.

  35. irwanchel

THERES GOES OUR SEASON. WE NEED BIGS NOT GUARDS TO GUARD JOKIC, EMBIID OR GIANNIS

  36. ThatguyingtonVersion

This is exactly who I wanted to fall to us. All of the mocks had him in the 13-15 range and he fits so well with us. I’m excited for him

    FINOOOO
