GSW got better by subtraction. That simple. JP last season was a completely different player than the season before. Playing lazy defense. Had to go.
In my opinion, playoff opponents sagged on Golden State's non-shooters just outside the paint to clog passing lanes or doubled Steph. Draymond and Looney couldn't consistently make teams pay inside. I thought if only they had a free throw jumper, teams couldn't continue the same strategy. If Chris Paul has something left, he could not only provide the consistent inside jumper Golden State may need in the playoffs but also be a second floor general.
I thought they should have went after Porzingis, Or Siakam, even Myles Turner

I don’t see why we couldn’t trade for Porzingis with the same trades assets plus the 19th pick, he’s also making around the same on an expiring contract and would’ve been a way better system fit!!!!

I don't understand the fit either. But, maybe they'll find the sweet spot on pace that'll make everyone better. It's not like CP3, GSW roster, and coaching are booty cheeks. They'll figure it out.
