man is cuckoo 😜
@1:56 😂
Today’s game it would be 90
It looks like there were only about 4 guys on the bench. These days it seems like 9 guys are on the bench
This is up there with anything Steph has done
1:02 first time i’ve ever seen him miss a shot good to know he actually is a mortal 😭😭😭
lol
Celtics won 126-115, why is Larry Bird shooting a jumpshot w/ .03 seconds left? Odd
At 1:02 you can hear the hawks crowd get disappointed when bird misses
I think I saw on a video once that the guys on the bench caught hell from the coach in the locker room for laughing and cutting up everytime Larry scored 😂
They're on the road and the crowd can't get enough lmao. The hawks guys throwing towels on their face and stuff is hilarious
1:55 bench is classic!
The World Dont call him the Legend, for nothing.
If you ever saw this live, (I actually did), it was one of the craziest performances you'll ever see.. Highlights honestly don't do it justice.. Trust me.
I can’t believe that the announcer of this game was the long time radio voice of the New York Yankees John Sterling!!
No doubt this is an amazing moment for Bird for all times. But, it's quite average when compared to Luka Doncic's 60-21-10 game.
Trying to remember why we were playing in New Orleans? Anyone remember why? Bird and Nique had some great matchups. This was not one for Wilkins. Lol
Legit my top 3 greatest moments I was born in 86 😂 you a bad S.O.B. To have the opposing bench acting like that 😂
Plus bird was calling his shots
Bird is the word
As a Boston fan, the only time I seen a bench go crazy is a night in California when Orr took a shot next to the goaltender that popped straight up that Orr swatted into the net. The Golden Seals players on the bench were slapping their sticks on the boards for the unbelievable goal. It is here on YouTube.
Very rare moment in sports. Mad respect given to Larry.
Game was in New Orleans…not Atlanta home court advantage, lol
1:53 one of the best shots you'll ever see.
Jordan is better. Jordon never got that reaction from the opposing bench. The difficulty of the shots was unbelievable.
Imagine if Curry played in the 70-80's he'll be scoring 100 points a game
I will not watch nba games today but I can watch this shit anytime day or night
1:05 is hilarious…you know everything was going in when he braces for it
At this moment they were simply just fans of the game
Some of y’all young kids are out of touch with reality , saying 60 points is nothing , compared to stars today , and players today would drop 100 playing in the 70’s , y’all don’t understand what you’re watching.
Points and stats 1000% easier to come by today , and that’s not opinion that’s facts , Silver even admitted they manipulated the game to promote more scoring.
I’ll even give you an example , go to the 1:27 mark of this video , and REALLY WATCH what Bird had to do to get open on some of these shots , the lengths you had to go to even get the smallest sliver of an opening to get off one of those shots. Today the defense just backs off of shooters most of the time unless it’s Curry in his bag , the best perimeter defender in the league right now is Jure Holiday , and he still gives up 40+ point games on the regular to middle of the line players , y’all have it backwards. . .
Put Larry Legend in 2023 era , not only would he score 60 on average , he probably wouldn’t have taken the same beating and could have ended up on every all time list there is. There’s some players that transcend eras , no matter what time period you put them in they’d be a star , and Larry Legend was one of those players.
I stopped watching the nba due to their politics and all the showboating. Also, the free agency has made it hard to keep up with a “team”.
Bird played when the league was at its peak as far as real team efforts go.
