Fred is the only player on that team with a killer instinct. Both OG and Pascal can get you buckets but when it comes to crunch time Fred has that killer in him.
sure he puts up a lot of shots but If you're not willing to take the criticism you should get a leadership role. I hope the Raptors keep him.

Fred is overrated. Since he's starting PG last 3 yrs he got more touches, mins, shots but he's been inefficient scorer, volume streaky shooter who often gone to a long slump. He shot 38.9%, barely 40.3% and 39.3% FG. Those r ugly numbers. They promoted him to be allstar but u think he will be allstar if he's on an US team? He's just a role player who's given chance to be 1st/2nd option. He's just not good enough to be a starter to lead a team to playoffs. We can't win a playoff/playin game with him being starting PG. We won 2 games without him when we played 76s in playoffs.
signing fred would be great but i wanna see what these younger guys can do, even if we lose games you rebuild. With a large potential contract, power amongst the team isnt balanced where maybe it should be and thats no slight to fred but theres emerging talent on this roster. Fred is an asset he will get paid if he wants its just where and what teams put that kind of value on him.
4×30 from Masia or 2×42 with Houston ….🤷♂️ it a coin flip. Masai usually takes care $$ of "his guys" on the 2nd contract so he might go 32×4

Fred hasn’t done enough to earn 30m a year straight up, if he was asking 20 I’d be down but he wants the bag for riding a ring 4 years ago. He was barely an all star and hasn’t improved since! I’d let him walk no problem despite what these casuals say

You have Gary, Scotty, OG, Pascal and Poetl is good for starters. $42 million is too much for a player. So Fred goes to Houston. Work on the bench and always look out for a super star.

With what Masai has done the past two years, I would not be surprised at all if he resigns fred at 3 years 40 mill per year or even 4 years. Nothing that masai has done in terms of trades and moves has made any sense. This team has not done anything to justify investing further in it. If retaining the asset is his priority, then you better get Fred playing some team ball. If his stats fall drastically from reduced usage, then you run the risk of being unable to trade him. Fred is not far off from falling off a cliff efficinecy wise. Hes already very inefficient already, so add that to his body slowing down with what little speed and athleticism he has, it could be a horror story of a contract.
I have little faith that masai and bobby will not throw the bag at fred, they are still hungover the 2019 chip and cannot for some reason let go of siakam or fred because they are the last of the core that won the chip. It will be the downfall of this team to invest more into siakam and fred, but Masai will keep recycling this trash of a core over and over until we will need to properly rebuild.
Lets hope scottie can play with these two longterm .
