Idk I’m not *that* high on scoot, and not *that* low on ant

  2. MavetheGreat

I think the first time we see Scoot play in a game it will become clear. Not that Ant is bad or should be shelved, just that he’s clearly going to be the top dog between him Ant and Sharpe.

    That’s more a r/ripcity opinion.

I’m sure the Org will treat Ant like a king, either because they genuinely believe in him as a franchise cornerstone, or to increase his trade value by the deadline

  4. This may be unpopular, but I think Ant starts at PG.

By the end of the season, we will see.

  5. RipCity56

Ant doesn’t have that alpha dog trait like Scoot does.

  6. TheCentralFlame

The grass is always greener. He really needs to figure out defense to make another step forward.

Very likely that Ant will get traded for peanuts and then shine on another team and Blazer fans will regret it. It’s a Classic everytime.

  8. ZaeDilla

I truly hope the trade rumors didn’t ruin his confidence.

  9. Nah I’m super high on all 3 of our young guards. Simons had the unfortunate situation of being constantly talked about for trades but it’s because of his contract and it being able to match other high level players. If he wasn’t as good as he was then he wouldn’t have been mocked in so many trades.

I’m excited to see him ball out with Dame gone, we’ve seen how he can produce and do it efficiently when Dame has been out. I imagine he’ll get a lot of playing time at both guards spots, lead point and off-ball from Scoot.

  10. Thing is, ant and sharpe could and probably will be better players next season and probably the season after, but i know yall have seen interviews and i know yall know the personalities of those two. They’re quiet, shy, and dont have a ton of upside as a vocal leader. Scoot does. The way he carries himself, the selflessness he exhibits, and the ferocity in which he plays has all the makings of a leader. And with the shoes of the best leader in sports to fill, scoot is the guy you want

Sharpe disrespect getting out of hand smh

  12. Honestly if the Heat can’t put together something for Dame, they should be going after Ant… one helluva plan B

  13. Ant is club captain now which makes me proud in a way that only makes sense to sports fans. If I told my gf I’m proud of a 24 year old multi millionaire who has no idea of my existence she would probably test free agency.

I’m glad we’re keeping Ant. I was only for trading him, not because I didn’t like him, but because he was our most expendable asset with the most value. I think he’s going to be huge part of this teams success. By the time
Shaedon and Scoot are in their mid 20s he’ll be a vet approaching 30.

  15. I’m kinda over Ant tbh. He’s just as huge of a liability on the defensive end as Dame and CJ, and he proved last year he isn’t consistent. 20+ points one night and 6 the next. At least Sharpe and Scoot have a bigger build and have shown the capability of growing into at least decent, non negatives on the other side of the ball.
