God, Ric Bucher is an IDIOT. Yes, in regards to Lillard, it is nice to have a star for ten plus years say, "Yes, I'm going to stay here, I want to win here", IF YOUR IN A MARKET THAT PLAYERS WANT TO PLAY IN! Which ISN'T Portland, Oregon. So in this instance it made NO DIFFERENCE. High caliber free agents and superstars DO NOT WANT TO PLAY IN PORTLAND FOR THE TRAILBLAZERS. PERIOD. Damian Lillard's trade request should ha w been three years ago. It made no sense to stay because 3 years ago he knew then what he knows now winning a championship in Portland OR. it's not going to happen. It only happened in 1977 because in 1974 they were lucky enough to get Bill Walton in the draft they had a pretty decent team at that time got a couple of other pieces and were able to win a championship 3 years later. That's literally what it will take for championship to happen again for the Trailblazers organization. Honestly the franchise would be better off if ownership just moved it to Seattle where their other sports teams are from.
He gonna have foot issues like Yung MI…so if he gonna win he better start putting in work now those guys over 7 foot don't last long …the ones that do are the not so good oned

You saw him struggle in game 1. That solidified to me that hes a development guy and not the prospect everyone made him out to be. But i knew that. Those guys are ready day one and arent struggling against rookies and gleaguers ever. Does that mean he wont be great? Nope. Not at all. Scoots got the superstar activity and hes immaculate in the paint. I was woried hed be more smart than wade. He looks wade to me. Injuries and all. I saw change of pace i saw floater i saw control and he plays d gets rebounds. Hes a combo for sure i dont see pure point.
Finally, someone in the media said it. International superstars don't force their way out of a city, that's an American thing. But this won't stop them from trying to push the narrative that Dallas is on the clock and Luka is gonna force his way out.

Had Dame not strongarmed them with the Heat then Portland could play in a more cordial manner, would have some flexibility. If I am Portland I would protect my interests ruthlessly. Dame could have suggested a few teams – it is a LEAGUE game. Instead he played hard and the gloves are off if I am the Portland GM.
