The two most replayed highlights of Jabari Smith in the 2023 Summer League are understandably his [game winning shot against the Blazers] and [the shot on Wiseman as he yelled you can’t guard me].
But the one move that got me most excited about what Bari can become was this one…
It’s the 3rd quarter, Bari has been cooking Detroit all game long, so they finally send a double team … he feels the secondary defender as he spins left, so he spins back to his right as his primary defender is already towering over him so he has to shoot a one legged off balance fade away shot and he still hits it!
2022 Bari would have spun into the double team or lost the ball, but he still managed to pull of this shot.
This is a potential all star in the making, if he remains grounded and focused.

Anything dreamesque will always be the most impressive
That was gross, but he was so impressive I can’t just call it. His passing was on point, not just scoring. I think he’ll show that he shoulda been the number one this year.
Game slowing down, his skill level going up ⬆️ . Amazing a 19/20 year gets better at basketball.
