    Hey Rylan, love the pod. I'm curious – How do you watch/consume a Thunder game when you're not in attendance? Are you posted up at home on the couch watching on TV? Watching at your computer? Are you constantly pausing and replaying things? Jotting down notes? Following stats? Tweeting? Any snackage going on? Etc, etc. Would love to hear about your setup on a future ep! Thunder up! ⛈

    I would think any real Thunder fan would be very upset if Mark used an 8 man rotation. That would mean Micic, JWill & I.Joe comes off bench & most nights C.Wallace, Wiggins, Kenny, Poku, Dieng,.T.Mann, KJ are DNP.. Theres no way Mark sees A.Wiggins as an automatic Top 8 rotation guy so hopefully we see a 10 man rotation most nights.

    Fun to watch summer league when players are active, but ultimately just empty content cosplaying as a marketing exercise. it's easy to get wrapped up in it when it's all we've got right now. But just because Butler dropped 30 yesterday in a game where everybody's been shut down, doesn't mean he's going to compete for a roster spot, let alone real minutes. Summer league is an odometer check for the back half of the roster and the G-League team, largely to check-in on risky prospects or explore their trade values – not a serious try-out.

    It's not a waste of time, but it does seem like it exists mostly for teams and their most hardcore NBA fans to get early glimpses of their rookies, or gaslight themselves about former picks as they go through the bust/trade process. As people always say when you draw conclusions about Summer League, "It's just Summer League."

    Last year it might have held more importance for OKC, where developmental minutes were thrown all around in a bunch of line-ups, but this year, I expect them to compete more instead of trying to see what they've got. And if you want to be developing Giddey, JDub, JWill, Chet, Ous, Cason, Micic, Wiggins and Poku – and Shai, Joe and Dort need minutes – you can't give tre mann, tyty, JRE or Butler court time in anything other than a blowout. They're fine injury replacements or call-ups, but every team has a half-dozen of those guys, and if you need one in a pinch they're on every bench and G-League team waiting for your call. Summer League is about marketing the NBA to you, the viewer, in the offseason and keeping you pumped for your squad – and that's about it.
