Gregg Popovich’s INSANE Coaching History & How He’ll Develop Wembanyama

On this edition of Road Trippin’, Allie and Richard discuss San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich, and the impact he will have on rookie Victor Wembanyama. Rich believes that Coach Pop had the biggest impact on his career, and his track record of nurturing past superstars like David Robinson, Tim Duncan, and Kawhi Leonard leads him to believe that Wembanyama will be built up in that same blueprint.

Also, Allie and Richard speculate on the plans for James Harden, DeAndre Ayton and Damian Lillard, and where they will most likely wind up, and when the moves will happen. Allie also brings up LeBron James and Rajon Rondo taking time to coach their sons in basketball, and Rich discusses how he believes that their collective basketball IQ’s are some of the best he’s ever known. Allie also asks Rich about the Lakers possibly returning to the “two bigs” set up that lead them to the 2020 NBA Championship, and if Dwight Howard could return and fill that role for Los Angeles.

  1. @NBAonTNT needs to hire Richard Jefferson! He would be perfect for the Tuesday broadcast.

  2. This devils advocate these analysts play is getting old.

How do you question Dwight's career greatness and then try to find some positivity in DLO playoff games with the Lakers?

  3. as good as dwight is he’s not a top 10, he averaged 15 points as a main guy in the finals, defensively alone yes top 10, but he never improved offensively

  4. Pops delivered almost 20 years of great basketball,
but he also popularized sitting stars out for no reason

  5. If the lakers resign both TT and Dwight it’s gonna be a problem for jokic and other centers in the League cause those guys will never lose there defense drive and iq plus they’re in great shape for the reserve roles to add next to AD and jaxon 😅 not even a lakers fan but that would be solid in the back court!
