Sort of surprised how well received the move was at the time considering how this sub can be.

Surprising considering most of the nba landscape was clowning the Knicks for this signing at the time

Wow, that was a very level headed thread lol

As soon as it was clear that kd and kyrie were not coming here, Julius was immediately the best free agent signing available to us. Yes he has his flaws, but considering he’s made 2 all star games and 2 all NBA teams since then, I’d say it’s worked out pretty well for us.

People been talking about trading him even before he got here!

I love when these get posted, and sifting through to see what I was thinking. I only upvoted one thing in that thread:
“Not great but still in the range of what’s acceptable.
Edit: Team option on 3rd year, that makes this deal a lot better”

Always felt this subreddit was mainly hopeful and positive during our bad “tanking” years.

That year did wonders for Marcus Morris’s bank account.

Same old r/nyknicks lol

What is crazy is that people were more optimistic back then and had you told them he’d make an all nba team as a Knick they’d have been ecstatic. Meanwhile half this sub wants to trade him away now.
RoadToTI420
Sub hates him more now after two All NBA seasons than they did when he was coming in after an alright year as a super sixth-man in NO lol.
