this is ridiculous. i demand a top 15 player in exchange for two undesirable contracts, pick swaps, and a twenty year old.
I’m glad the NBA is at least trying to nip this in the bud, because it’s a terrible look. I have no idea the practical impact this will have, since it could just make everyone be more secretive about it but not change the actual behavior. I hope this at least keeps a saga like Dame’s from happening again.

I may be the minority in this, but I disagree. Players aren’t livestock, they shouldn’t have to uproot their lives to go to a city and team they don’t want to be at. They should have a say if they don’t want to go to a certain team, basically. Exactly the way soccer operates where the selling them and the player both have to agree to the move.
You force a player to go somewhere he doesn’t want to be, then you get shitty situations like Ben Simmons.
