Miami get zack lavine n vucevic.
Bam is athletic but he’s not an offensive player. He’s very limited offensively, but he will be a better lob threat.
This is why everyone is down on Bam so much. Because YOU guys keep talking BAM UP and he’s not that guy, the expectations are to high. He’s a role player guy’s (SORRY)!!!
Caleb Martin is a better offensive player than BAM.
Bam is not just an offensive player. He is a great all around player. Same as Butler they need a pure offensive player around them.
IMO I think Bam's biggest offensive challenge is mental. He just needs to overcome those moments when he struggles a bit and not get in his own head. You can see it in his body language. Fighting that urge alone and fighting thru that struggle sooner, in the same game/quarter will make him much more consistent (offensively).
I’ve loved watching Bam grow. I know how expectations work but i personally never saw Bam becoming this when we drafted him (i was still on team Whiteside like an idiot lol) but seeing him become a 2x all star, with more coming, and multiple time all defense and a DPOY on the way eventually, it’s been really cool to grow up with another player for the past 5 or 6 years. Hope he continues to grow and drown out the noise and retires with us!
Greg is clearly backtracking. I can vividly recall post-game episodes where Greg has touted "No ceiling!!!" after Bam had a great scoring night. I understand the revisionist history, since we now know Bam will never be a go-to scorer, but it's also OK to say "Yeah, I was wrong about him not having a ceiling," while still praising the best parts of his game.
