Luka clears Joel Embiid
Ad is my second favorite player and I’m a lakers fan but Luka definitely better imo. Also just keep in mind that everything luka is doing right now is at the age of 24. It’s insane to think that he’s only at the beginning of his career and his skills and it will only get better

Surprised at this ranking but I agree for the most part. I’ve had the hot take that he’s overrated for a while for all the negatives Jason pointed out. Jason might be the only person who acknowledges his flaws. Even I would’ve have him a little higher at 7/8 but I get it bc he def let go of the rope this yr. Not making the play-in is rough. If I was drafting a team from all current nba players to build the perfect roster I def wouldn’t want him on my squad

I legit don’t understand how tanking and missing the play-in will get you top 10, but being the best player on the #2 team in the West and actually making the play-offs won’t get you anywhere on the top 25.

LeBron played a similar style of play to Luka while being a DPOY contender, and better off ball, meanwhile Luka on D is an L, and he essentially always needs the ball in his hands. That's why he's #10 and not top 3 or top 5. I might've had him a tiny bit higher, but like 8 or 9 at the highest. Great video! I hope Luka has a great season next year, would love to see the Mavs back in the playoffs.

I’m sorry Anthony Davis isn’t a top 10 player. He’s never healthy. His defense is totally dependent on the opposing team not aggressively pushing the tempo or the team getting high double digit trips to the foul line to limit transition opportunities so he doesn’t get caught lagging to get back on defense. He will mail in half the games offensively since he can’t find is aggression with a precision quantum microscope half the games he plays. Of course the lakers had to torpedo all the moves they’ve made since the trade deadline by tying up 50 to 60 million a year in cap space for a player in his mid 30’s that can’t even play 60 games a season in his late 20’s. I guess Kawhi just passed the torch for the most useless NBA contract in LA.
Luka is the toughest top tier star to rank besides guys dinged by constant injuries. Playmaking and shooting touch from the basket to midrange is nearly unrivaled, but he gives alot back with inconsistent defensive effort, poor defensive ability and basically no offball game. Heliocentrism holds teams back, I would love to see him play more normally, he would almost certainly have more energy for defense
