He saved KD’s ass. How did kd give up that rebound on a free throw?

Honestly I don’t really care about this as much as other people do, like even if Hill made it or JR was competent they were not beating that team.

If this was like game 7 of 2016, I would be frying tf out of dude.

  3. To be fair to JR Smith and his memory. This is probably the biggest on court mistake of his career. It happened so fast and he has likely played it over and over in his head so much he probably isn’t 100% sure why he did it at this point.

I feel like this is the most overblown “blunder” ever. They were never gonna win that series. They may not have even won that game.

he might be too high to remember what happened

  6. DEEZLE13

Dude ruined the greatest finals performance in history

  7. 20Keys2theHead

He should just shrug his shoulders and say “why do you think they call it ‘dope’ . . .”

  8. Gives off the same energy as Paul Pierce Poop story. Story keeps changing…

JR is def on that Mom’s Spaghetti Theory multiversal ish. and our universe’s JSwish has the combined memory of multiple JR’s in this moment. sadly he CAN’T have the memory of that what if universe where the cavs win

My theory has always been that he was trying to run to the other basket.

He’s giving the media bang for their buck. He’s giving them a new answer every time they ask, good for him, looking out for the little guys.

  12. This seems like a man who smoked all his brain cells away

The Cavs had a timeout left. This is not on JR. It’s on Ty Lue for not calling a timeout with 4.5 seconds left to run a SLOB play.

So what. It was a really shitty and massive blunder for literally any professional athlete to have in any sport. Something like that would be very hard to process. The obvious answer is “HE FUCKED UP.”

We don’t need a detailed explanation of why a player had a mental lapse, especially someone isn’t known for their IQ.

I’m so over shit like this, like I’m sure in his mind he doesn’t even know why the fuck he did that. It was stupid and we all do stupid shit from time to time without being on a big stage.

Obviously over time he’s going to be more comfortable telling the truth..

Unanimous HOF dumbass nba player who won a title entry?

i think george hill blew it more than anything. he shouldn’t have put someone as stupid as JR in that situation.

Jr is my favorite non superstar player

Why do people think he had a open shot? Let’s say he puts it up. KD is right there. It’s getting blocked. Or he’s risking wasting the time out with a pump. The right play is for Bron to kick down for the open shot. But he backed up to half court.

JR SMITH DID NOT MESS UP. Look at the clip. He had a very low chance shot opportunity. KD was right there (remember this season he was avg 1.6 BPG…. The very next game he got 5 shot blocks). At best he was taking a bad shot attempt.

Even if he didn’t recognize it quickly resetting was the right basketball move. LEBRON JAMES SCREWED UP THE PLAY. Instead of whining at half court, move to the open space on the 3. JR was had his head up, he could have been wide open. Or help your teammate out, call a timeout.

Moaning and complaining at half-court was literally the worst basketball play he could have made.
