Karl Anthony-Tows TRADE for Fred VanVleet is a Future Trade Made-in-Heaven!

It’s no secret that Karl Anthony Towns’ future in Minnesota is likely coming to an end. Their trajectories are clearly headed in two different directions with the mantle being inevitably passed to Anthony Edwards as it was passed from Andrew Wiggins to Towns. The difficult part is figuring out where Town may land. Now I know that Rockets fans may get on me about this trade because, hey, Fred hasn’t even played a game yet for the Rockets we’re already talking about trading the man! The reality was the moment Amen Thompson walked off the court after his first NBA Summer League game Fred VanVleet’s time in Houston was numbered. Amen is clearly the Point Guard of the future and as the team acclimates to their new coach Ime Udoka, he may prefer the 6’7 point of attack guard over the 5’11 one. With this trade both teams address areas of need and likely will set themselves a with Towns and Fred up for far greater success than they would have remaining on their respective teams.
