We have an official goal, people
Tim Connelly: “We’ve got to win a playoff series. It’s been too long. … we have to have success in the playoffs for us to be taken seriously.”

Seems like a solid, realistic goal.
I’ll take “big if true” for 500 Alex
I wouldn’t say goal but more like a requirement given the talent in this team. The goal has to be wcf to justify the gobert trade and to keep the core.
They’ve got the team to win a playoff series. Shit, they probably could have won a playoff series last season.
I think the bigger thing will be them putting themselves in a position, all season long, to win a playoff series. They cannot keep fucking around against bad or undermanned teams as they have the last two seasons. They need to keep their foot on the gas all 82 games and get the fuck out of that 7-10 seed scrum. They practically did it last year (only two games out of the 5th seed) even with all the injuries and dropping countless embarrassing games to tanking teams.
Playing a mid-seed playoff team with home court advantage is a world of difference from going on the road to face a juggernaut like the Nuggets. It won’t be a serious goal to win a playoff series this season unless they play like that’s the goal all 82 games.
Thanks Tim!

Winning a single playoff series is not a success story, don’t let him set that narrative. If we’re saying this isn’t a finals level team, then we’re admitting KAT and Gobert don’t have the mental fortitude to play up to their talent in the playoffs, because the only reason nobody projects this team as an elite team, is that they just assume KAT and Gobert will crumble when it counts. Talent-wise, we have as much as anybody else in the league.
This team is missing too many things at a stage where they have no 1st round pick in 2025.
It’s time to short this team like a bad stock
I like that he is setting this expectation. Far too long the bar has been too low.
Just please no “championship or bust” talk. Ive never heard anyone publicly say that and win a championship.
