[Buha] For those keeping track, the starters are all wearing purple jerseys (Davis, Reaves) with the bench players wearing white (Vincent, Wood, Prince, etc.). Vanderbilt is wearing purple; Rui is wearing white. That suggests Vando got run with the starters (at least in the final scrimmage).

i honestly think that last starting spot will be fluid between rui and vando throughout the season depending on the match-up.

Vando’s best value is going to be guarding Luka, Booker, Durant, Steph, etc in the first 8 ish minutes of every game. Not sure what the usefulness of him is to come off bench whereas Rui can destroy the opposing games bench in scoring.
Rui even talked about this during his press conference. He wants to ultimately be the one to finish games, but suggested the starting lineup could change game to game based off of match- ups.

It doesn’t even matter who starts the game. It’s who finishes the game. The matchup should dictate who starts and finishes these games. Vando did such an amazing job covering Ja and Curry- we need him to be our defensive perimeter guy.
If Vando hasn’t improved his shooting, him being a starter all year is pointless. He will be unplayable in the playoffs again. So I will say that his shooting has improved or ultimately Rui will start.
