Cedric Bryan Maxwell tells his story first time playing with bird and he explain that in their time mostly black people were racist that white people can’t play any better than black guys. So he disrespected bird but Larry shocked the whole celtics team as he show his true skills and proved he can play basketball.

This is on point, I clearly wasn't as good as Bird but I got the same thing from a lot of the black guys on the streets until they got some…they would call me Bird and I'd ask where they wanted me to hit from THEN DID IT..I love basketball 🏀 to this day
