I think it's much less about Scottie's individual "improvement" and more about how much better this team in general can be as opposed to last year. One dude is not going to "make or break" anything but if the entire team can get better as a unit on both ends of the floor, each player will inevitably become a more efficient, and more impactful player on an individual level. This is what will make or break this season regardless of how much better Scottie becomes. Yes, he needs to get better (and everything points to this happening) but unless he improves exponentially the question y'all are posing is more adequately answered on a much more of holistic level imo.
