all I’ve been saying about stopping him, tho, is just everybody laying body into him on both ends of the court; the only way you can beat him is get him on his heels, and bleed his stamina bar (like a video game boss), otherwise the height advantage is too much on both ends – especially his offense where he just gets automatic cheatcode buckets shooting straight over any normal player’s head.
edit: also, teams need to prevent him from getting the breakaway transition buckets, because that’s like 99% easy dunk over any normal person, too 🤦♂️

Theres that one play when Wemby blocked a 3pt attempt from Klay, sprint down the court immediately to receive a pass from Zach, pump faked klay, Pause*, and then dunk.
Looks like he was toying the warriors, even the announcer said so. But i think it just shows how disciplined Wemby is. Sure, it looks unnecessary, but at any moment, id rather have a sure 2pt than being swatted away by a smaller chase down artist. 2 things made the "pause" or survey perfectly fine, or the right thing to do was, Looney is still in the court and its the 1st qtr of their first match against gsw.

Mindblowing. And Wemby's got a "big game" mentality. Against Holmgren, it's like he took it personal. He came out the aggressor… almost as if he was aware of the chatter they'd be compared and wanted to put an end to it. This GS game too, Wemby came out focused, looking to make a splash against the Splash Brothers and damn did he ever, had their home crowd transfixed. Wemby was terrorizing Wiggins out there — Andrew Wiggins, the #1 overall pick back in 2014 if people have forgotten — not some scrub. Most of the championship roster of 2022 is still there and that's who Wemby was squaring off against. Off the court, Wemby's charismatic and on the court he's giving off eerie Kobe vibes, that killer instinct. Even for Spurs fans, accustomed to greatness, the things Wemby does out there are just confounding.
How do we not make the playoffs with vassell and wemby playing like this

I'll just say it's a good thing it's the twilight of the Warriors dynasty. By the time Wemby will make deep play off runs the dynasty will have retired.
He gotta work on that 3 point though. He should probably focus on deep 2 rather than a 3 game at the moment, the 3 will come later.
