[Brady Hawk] The Miami Heat have an 88 offensive rating so far this season when Tyler Herro is off the court The eye test backs that up The offense looks lost when he isn’t in there to save them with his on-ball shooting
We desperately need some better guards backing up Herro is my biggest takeaway.
I remember last season whenever Tyler had a good game it usually ended in a loss, and people used that stat against him.
It’s just so happens that half the team seems to always shit the bed when Tyler is on. It isn’t his fault

Herro’s efficiency (true shooting) is below league average, despite shooting a probably unsustainable 43% from 3, because he never gets to the line. He simply can’t be the first option on a team trying to win now if he’s gonna get 3 FTA per game while taking 22 FGA per game

We need better guards in general.
We have an 87 Ortg with Dru Smith on Court!

Jovic run the point night!

Doesn’t help that we have like two good 3 pt shooters

Our Core got us to the Finals but they had to play too many minutes to make it happen .
We need to test and develop the younger players or we will run into the same wall this year.
We might as well do it now because Jimmy won’t flip the switch until after the all-star break and Lowry might be moved.
Herro looks better: the percentages are down slightly but he’s carrying a much heavier burden and is trending mostly up.
JJJ can rebound, pass and defend very well. He was a plus shooter in college too so he might actually start a lot this year.
Jovic can rebound now. It seemed like rebounding just wasn’t part of his game in previous seasons- not ideal for a 4- but he’s crashing the boards now and winning the battle.

This is not a bad 1-4 start.
