Lofton is too much of a liability on defense. Yeah, he could go in there and get you 10-12 points but he would be giving up 20-30 points on defense which in the grand scheme of things just isn’t worth it.

Go back and watch some video of him since preseason, particularly as he works off-ball and navigating switches on defense. He’s got some moves if given space and a pretty mid-range shot, but when you’re getting beat defensively and need five guys who can stop the bleeding, Junior is not an answer.

If Biyombo plays ok-ish, Lofton is gone for the roster spot. I honestly don’t think Zach would pull the trigger to trade anyone in this roster (and I don’t like it tbh). If he wanted he would have done it in the off-season.

People hating you, but honestly we should at least try to make him play even for 10 minutes for a couple games. The only times i have watched him was last game of last season when he put 40 against 3rd lineup Okc and a couple minutes in Lakers series. I think Jenkins has no clue on how to use him.
