Golden State has a 52.4 TS% outside of Curry. They’ve also shot what would be a by far league worst 46.4 eFG% on open/wide open shots

I’ll say that as a fan since the early 2000s I’ve seen some baaaaaaad basketball as well as some of the best basketball I can imagine being played. But after getting used to watching an all time team its rough these days seeing shots go up and expecting that they will miss.
Our opponents TS on wide open shots has to be over %100
Yeah it’s not good.
**Klay from 3**
Tight/very tight defensive coverage: 12/22 (54.5%)
Open/wide open def. coverage: 12/46 (26%)
**Wiggs from 3**
Tight/very tight defensive coverage: 0/2 (0%)
Open/wide open def. coverage: 5/28 (17.8%)
Because Wiggs hasn’t taken hardly any well-defended 3s, below are his tight/very tightly defended 2s numbers to show that again, it’s not a problem of defenses shutting him down because he’s scoring at a high efficiency on **defended** shots lol it’s just his mental with his jumper that have gotten to him. Once he gets that right, it’s smooth sailing. Because once his jumper is straight, our spacing issues become way way less severe.
**Wiggs on tightly/very tightly defended 2s**: 33/63 (52.4%)
What to take from these numbers overall for both? They’re both due for MASSIVE regressions to the mean. If they were missing well-defended 3s or 2s at a high clip then *that* would be something to be hugely concerned about. They’re not though. And their ability to still score while under tight defense proves it’s not their basketball ability that’s got them in their ruts (to be clear Klay’s shooting rut has been a last 6ish game thing, *not* all season; he was shooting very well and very efficiently the first 5-6 games).
Seems our team TS% WITH STEPH is still worse than these other 9 teams WITHOUT THEIE STAR PLAYER.
That is ridiculously bad.
They’ll start falling
This team, especially now, is absolutely nothing without Steph
