You can’t value Siakam that high giving his contract. Yes on paper and skillset, attributes, he’s way better. But given Chicago is betting on Siakam re-signing his value will be much lower

The only reason I can think of when trading Lavigne for Siakam is to get a trading asset in return and buy them time since Siakam is probably gone by next season. Siakam probably will take a max offer from another team that the Raptors would care to match since they already are in the rebuilding process. I don't believe that Lavigne would consider playing for the Raptors long term considering our current situation. Most players with Siakam and Lavigne's caliber would rather play for a contender. If other teams smell that Lavigne is unhappy with the team, that would diminish his trade value tremendously. Another factor would be his salary. Will the Raptors consider paying up to 48 million for a trading chip? I don't see the trade happening. I think it's just rumors.
The trade package would be my guess is Gary Trent, Dick and first round pick and a draft swap.. The starting five would be Dennis, Zach,og, og, spicy Barnes .
