MASSIVE REPORT! Josh Hart CRITICIZES Usage With Knicks… | Knicks News

Josh Hart was one of the main players for the Knicks that had a major impact for the team when he was added last season. His play earned him a hefty 81+ Million contract extension. Unfortunately, he’s failed to find that same type of impact and spark from the bench that he provided last year. When speaking about his offensive struggles with the team with the NY Post, he mentioned he doesn’t feel included with the Knicks offense. He also reveals that he doesn’t really like the way he’s currently utilized. Troy Mahabir breaks all of this down!

  1. Coach Thibodeaux has to go. Put him in an executive job you know with the higher ups, but he's tearing the team down. The coach doesn't evolve. What a mistake we made not getting Ime Udoka!

  2. I like Hart. With that being said he needs to look in the mirror, start knocking down shots and stop complaining

  3. Are you kidding me? This coach has done nothing but bring players in and try to make them some thing they’re not for years but nobody ever says anything about it or does anything about it?

  4. Nothing this coach does makes sense. But it’s never going to change because this coach is not willing to change. He has one offensive set in mind they need to get rid of him.

  5. I agree! Hart is not a 3 pt shooter! He's a multi use guy! Especially since Divicenzo is in the line up. Thibs is not using him the right way. The same way Grimes is not being used the right way. I think Brunson should avg 12 pts and 12 assists. Not avg 6 ast. There's no reason why the the shooting guard should have 15 shots not 6-8 shots per game. That's a knock on the coach. I know Brunson is the closer but he can't just feed RJ and Randle. In the second unit IG has to get the ball in the hands of Hart too. That's up to the coach that the ball is shared. Actually the 2nd unit shares the ball a lot more than the 1st unit, however, if randle and brunson is on the floor Hart is nt going to get the ball.

  6. You're completely right about Josh Hart being more of a rhythm player than a catch and shoot player. That's one of the reasons that Thibs should go. He seems either not to care or to be unaware of certain players' preferences, gifts, strengths, weaknesses or skills. Instead he seems content to create a certain style and ask players to fit into it without adapting or adjusting any part of it for them. Not only that, Thibs doesn't create good sets on offense. Instead he expects Julius Randle, RJ Barrett and Jalen Brunson to force their way to the rim on every play. The result is that the opposing teams can see the pattern and set up their defense to stop it. Basically the attack gets repetitive. This tires out the players and is often why the team struggled against good defensive teams.

Thibs also refuses to consistently push the players to: move well without the ball, pass fast, pass faster out of double teams, do more alley oops, do more pick n' rolls, set screens to make it easier for players to get open shots, cut to the rim for easy passes on the run, get out in transition to get to the other basket before the other team's defense can set up or speed up the pace.

This team has top athletes, good defenders, good rebounders, good passers and good scorers. Yet Thibs' style is weakening the team. The team should move on from him and hire a coach that can teach defense AND offense.

  7. Tom Thibs is a very good coach dont get me wrong but I feel like we see his ceiling as a coach, I feel like he aint taking this team to that next step, he grinds the team out before they even get to the playoffs and offensively he isnt great as a coach, I think going forward the Knicks need to tak a look at Thibs and his time here, I never thought he would be the coach when this team is good enough to be in the finals anyway.

  8. He averages more attempts per game this year. Hes just not shooting 60% from 3 like he did for 25 games last year.

  9. Here is my take on this. We have heard this before. Isnt this the same thing that Fournier said about his game? But instead of playing to his strengths he gets buried on the bench. Now we have a bench player that was a success in the beginning now struggles the next season. Why? Hmm…
This has happened at the same time with this coach with every organization. Maybe instead of being an agent Leon should be
paying attention to being a team president.

  10. Thank You everyone on here in the comments that Thibs has got to go!! Enough is enough! Players still aren't being developed like all the other teams in the league! Jesus Christ! His rotation is also garbage man…

  11. That is Thibs!!!!!! Leon Rose has rightfully gone out and got Thibs the players that fit his system. But the idiot is trying to make players do things that don't suit them! Fire Thibs for Christ sake! And find a way to move Randle and Fournier because it doesn't make sense to keep someone that can't help us because Thibs dumbass won't fix anything! Just like he's doing to Grimes

  12. That's is problem
Let him and the coach worked that out thibs need to go He's nothing but problem, all thibs issues you will see he's not the man

  13. This isn't a coach issue. Its a Josh Hart issue. Players like him have to adjust his game… Even in the playoffs last year he was passing up open shots. He knew what the offense was before he resigned with the team so I don't want to hear any BS out of him…

  14. These players resign with a team that knew what the offense was than complain when their game is off? 😂😂😂

  15. To me Hart is more of a runner and should be leading this team in fast breaks like he did last year. This issue is having Randle handle the ball way too much. He is a ball hog and not a runner. The Knicks need to address what kind of team they are. Also, Grimes should not be starting, Hart should be the shooting guard even though he is more of a runner. Gotta stop running this entire offense around Randle. It’s gonna backfire.
