Now that we actually have draft capital to trade, here’s a guy, whose not geriatric, who rebounds very well (8.7 RPG with 2.4 being offensive when he’s usually the SF), excellent shooter, very good at offball and can create his own offense well.

His defense isn’t great, he looked decent in Cleveland with Mobley / Allen behind him, but definitely worse in Utah (could be an increased offensive load asw). He’s always at least put effort in defensively.

As Lowe mentions, Utah hasn’t called anyone up for trade offers or anything, but with him being just a little old for a complete rebuild (turning 27), and pending a huge extension, some execs are thinking they could trade him. I feel like he’s a super great target for us if Utah’s down for a picks package (which Ainge’s shown to, with DMitch and Rudy already). We’d still need more ball handling, Lauri doesn’t really bring that to the table, but as far as playing off Joel offensively I think he’d be amazing

Hmmm … I usually don’t bite at most of these kind of posts .. but this one is actually something to think about .. rebounding .. stretching the floor 38% from three .. would improve I’d assume with Biid … 1.1 steals.. 27 so hitting prime .. lauri been consistent and making improvements since Chicago days .. def something for u/dmorey to look into and see what they asking ..

He’s definitely made a leap since getting to the Jazz, but keep in mind his role here might look more like it was in Chicago/Cleveland than in Utah. He’s the undisputed #1 option in Utah, all of the plays are designed for him. He’s constantly rolling, shooting off screens, the paint is cleared for him to finish 1 on 1.

Considering ball-handling is probably the biggest need and defense is up there as well, going after Markannen could backfire considering it would probably cost all our assets.

We’ve traded assets for the right to max a #1 option offensive-minded Western conference PF who’s shooting well and mediocre on defense before. I’m joking, but even Dame isn’t making the Bucks look great. Gotta be careful with these one-way stars in an offense based around them.

I like that idea, he could be our version of kristaps 🤷🏿‍♂️

  5. Perfect fit but we don’t have enough assets until after the draft

I’ve said it before, but if he’s available I think you have to get him – he fits exceptionally well next to both Embiid and Maxey both in game and in age. While he’s not a defensive star, he’s not any worse than Tobias, and the offensive gravity with him, Embiid, and Maxey on the court would be Curry-esque, you’d have two of the best 3 point shooters in the league playing next to the league’s best scorer.

This is the guy we want out of any player available. He just fits so fucking well around maxey Embiid.

I would give up every single one of our assets if we could somehow get Markkanen and Clarkson.

I’d love this. I became a fan of his when I learned he is an avid disc golfer.

The problem is no one wants to trade with Danny because he’s a goddamn snake. Maybe he and Daryl can cancel each other out and both parties can benefit. Doubt it though as Danny always has to get his pound of flesh.

No he can’t defend he is just as bad as tobi
