Just past Saturday and then the second game was earlier today and I unfortunately I wasn’t able to watch the game on Saturday but from what I’ve heard it just seemed like the Milwaukee Bucks they ended up making a run and then the Knicks just fell flat and then

The Milwaukee buckers ended up getting the W now I heard that there were moments in the game where the Knicks were kind of going tip fort with the bucks but then unfortunately taling kind of just out kind of then you saw the talent discrepancy between the Bucks and

The Knicks and that’s how the Bucks were able to get the win on Saturday but having said all that and having heard all that coming into today’s game one of the things that I was keeping my eye on I just wanted to see how they would

Respond how would they respond to a team that beat them on Saturday how would they respond knowing that they were going to play again just a couple days later and on top of that on Christmas Day the Knicks knew that they were going to play on Christmas Day and Christmas Day is a

National holiday in the NBA if you will that’s where a lot of the Casual NBA fans that’s when they actually start watching the NBA this season was a little different because of the in-season tournament shout out to Adam Sila for that genius idea but yeah for

The most part Christmas Day is when the Casual NBA fans they start tuning into the NBA and they start really paying attention to what’s going on so I just want to tip my hat off to the Knicks for really coming to play and really trying to show show what they’re made of and

See the kind of show everybody the kind of talent that they have and just the kind of toughness that they have so that’s the first thing I want to get I want to take I want to talk about for the Knicks now the second thing I do

Have to lean a little bit more not negative but I I just want to talk a little bit of the the reserves that I have um after watching this game now shout out to my guy Chris Chris and I we put out videos and on multiple occasions we’ve talked about just how horrendous

The three-point defense is and as far as the as far as for the game today the Milwaukee Bucks ended up shooting 13 of 42 which is 31% from the three-point line so in a vacuum it looks like the Knicks did did do a good job of defending the three-point line but there

Were still instances in the game where I was able to see where the close out wasn’t as hard as I was as I would like to see um just just the attention to the three-point line wasn’t there especially after season where that’s one of your biggest weaknesses so for the most part

They did do a good job but within the flow of the game it just seemed it seemed a little different and after watch after looking at the Box SC when the game ended I was a bit surprised now that leads me into my next point which is the overall ceiling of this team

There were moments in the game where the Knicks were up by 16 where the Knicks were up by 13 12 and the overall feeling I had was I was still worried because you had two top 75 players of all time on on the other side you got Giannis and

You got Dame and you know Dame time really comes to play especially in the clutch late into the fourth quarters and you never know what’s going to happen and it just gave me just the overall feeling of like okay we’re playing good right now but then you can kind of look

At all these other little instances where like okay the Milwaukee Bucks they just got a w on on Saturday they know they’re obviously playing on Christmas day so they actually you know that they actually want to play and they want to play hard but there’s always that human

Nature that comes into play where it’s like yo we already got one so if we lose today it’s not necessarily going to be the worst thing so you do have to question if the Milwaukee Bucks and all the players were actually really really trying to get the W of course they’re

Going to say that they were and they’re whenever whenever they step on the court it’s just competition and they want to get a win but of course we got to take into account nature and now that they they knew that they got that they split maybe towards the end of the game they

Weren’t in dire need and of of looking for a w and I feel like lately especially with Giannis jannis dropped a 64 ball um maybe like a week or two ago and I feel like Giannis is always going to be in contention for the best player in the league he’s always top three

Between him joish and Curry he’s always in the conversation but just watching more and more of Giannis it just seems like giannis’s offensive game his ceiling is so so limited and the way he gets his points is really off of Brute Force now he has been able to

Extend his game extending the his uh his shooting range um today he ended with one of two from the three-point line 50% not a lot of attempts I understand but I do got to give I I do have to give him credit for extending his shooting range

But when you compare his skill level to other players to a Luca to a Steph to a yic Giannis doesn’t really have that same type of skill set his his points come in transition when he’s going downhill he always doing that that Euro stab that Euro stab that goes into is

There a hard shoulder where the player goes flying into the into the floor and then Yannis is always dunking on them and I just feel like if the Knicks were to match up with the Bucks in the playoffs I would be a little concerned because they have they have two when you

Think about the best players in that series you’re automatically going to go to Dame and Giannis now in my opinion I do think that Jaylen Brunson is making a case to being one of the better point guards in the league which I’ll get into a little bit but specifically if we’re

Looking at a Milwaukee Bucks in a Knicks playoff matchup Giannis is going to be the best player off rip no question about it but now that second best player in the series I think there’s an argument that you can make for Jaylen Brunson over Damen Lillard but as far as

The rest of the team this is where the whole me being reserved with the Knicks is just I just don’t know what the ceiling of this team is now as a season prolongs if as it keeps going we’ll get more of a sample size to see what this

Uh what the Knicks team has to offer now going back to the Knicks uh Julius Randle ended up with a great game 24 points shooting eight of 17 from the field two of five from three-point uh he went to the line six times um jayen um Jaylen Brunson ended up with 38 points

And I believe he is the third Nick to have one of the highest scoring games on Christmas Day Bernard King of course is number one with 60 points and Jaylen Brunson is tied for second and third if you will with Robert uh Gan I might the last name I might be pronouncing wrong

I’m sorry but Jaylen Brunson comp completely what a complete game that he had finishing from 15 15 of 28 from the field one of three uh from three-point line seven of nine from free throw and again the free throws is one of the stats that I look at it shows how

Aggressive the player is and Jaylen Brunson one of his one of the things that you can definitely depend on with jayen Brunson is he’s always going to be aggressive he is always going to be looking for a shot and this leads me into my next and final point I think the

Question of Jaylen Brunson being in the conversation for the best point guard in the league needs to be had I’m not talking about top five I’m not talking about top 10 I am talking about that Elite top three ranking of point guards in the league Jaylen br

Rson you can look at his resume so far last season you definitely got to take into account him leading the Knicks past the first round into the second round which is only the second time in what a decade that they’ve been to that that they’ve had that deep of a run in the

Playoffs and before that when he was in Dallas Luca donz was was injured and he had to sit out two or three games and Jaylen Brunson was the starting point guard and he took over that series against the Utah Jazz now there are other point guards

That you can say are a little bit more talented they have a little more athleticism but Jaylen Brunson I feel like the intangibles that he brings to the game his mental IQ his footwork that he got from Kobe going to the Mamba Academy and learning from Kobe rip these

Are the little things that separates Jaylen Brunson and Jaylen Brunson has a little bit more of a resume than some of these other point guards a lot of the point guards that are having a really good year we’re talking about a Tyrese Halle Burton we’re talking about Tyrese

Maxi specifically those two players they don’t have enough of a resume to be in contention of that top Point top point card ranking tyres Halburn hasn’t even been to the playoffs tyres Massie has been to the playoffs but last last season he was under the shadow of James

Harden this season we’ll see what he’s able to do as far as the Eastern Conference I think Jaylen Brunson is in the conversation as being the best point guard in the Eastern Conference but I want to talk about the whole league in general of course you have your point

Guards are in another tier specifically Ste Steph Curry but then you have other point guards that might be a tier below him you got um dear F Fox you got SGA Jamal Murray has to be in that conversation I feel like Jamal Murray is definitely underrated I feel like he

Gets the short end of the stick because he plays with yish um but if you take a look at Jamal Murray’s Talent level his skill level if you take a look at his stats from last playoffs I would like to put him in the conversation as far as

One of the better point guards in the league but this is what I’m saying is Steph Curry is in a is in a tier all by himself but then below that tier and I might be forgetting some names right now while I’m doing this and I’m sorry

Um if you guys remember some names and you want to throw them in the comments please do so but I feel like after Steph Curry who’s in his who’s in a tier all by himself I feel like the next tier Jaylen Brunson belongs in that tier like

I said SGA Darren Fox a Jamal Murray and Jaylen Brunson just has he has a lot that we can point to and we also got to take a look into what he has brought to the New York Nick organization what he has brought to the culture of the Knicks

You finally have a player who has established him himself as being one of the players in the league and who already has a proven record of being able to lead your team further into the season I feel like we haven’t had that in so long and my feelings towards

Carmelo Anthony I’m not I like Melo as a player he’s as far as offensively and we’re not talking about allaround game we’re literally just talking about put putting the ball in the bucket Carmelo Anthony is one of the better players I’ve seen in his prime he could do it

Mid-range he could do a postup he had a three-pointer off the dribble his Jabs like Carmelo Anthony is severely underrated top 10 scoring in NBA history but where Carmelo Anthony Falls in this discussion is I feel like Carmelo wasn’t able to elevate his team his organization to where I feel like

Everybody else looks at the Knicks everybody looks at the Knicks as his story franchise as one of the leaders in the NBA but in reality is we don’t have much of a history we don’t have much of a history as far as players being I guess legendary in the NBA lore we don’t

Have a history as far as being successful in the in the NBA playoffs and also in the finals and I feel like Jaylen Brunson has come to this organization and he really put a stamp on it and he’s solidifying his his Mark as being one of the better players in

The league and he has some he has some on his resume to prove that fact and if his if his career keeps going the way get going I feel like he has a really really good shot at being a top five Nick of all time and if we see him and

The Knicks being able to break one of these Seasons going to an Eastern Conference Final or maybe an NBA Finals then he might be able to crack that top three now I know I might be getting ahead of myself and there are some concerns that we should be having as

Nick fans looking at this Nick team but we do have a bright future the trade deadline is coming up Chris and I we have put out some videos as far as players that are rumored to be within the Knicks trading the uh trading block um trading for Donovan Mitchell um

Trading uh as far as the players that we would give up IQ RJ Barrett now as far as the assets we do have assets moving forward to en heighten the ceiling of this team in my opinion I think I would wait it out I do want to see what this

Team the way is constructed presently I want to see if we’re able to reach the same height that we did last year in the second round and then possibly maybe moving forward past the second round but overall I want to say that this was a really really big win Jaylen Brunson

Came to play and on a national stage on Christmas Day I feel like the conversation of Jaylen Brunson as far as being a one of the better point guards in the league of course being the uh one of if not the best point guard in the Eastern Conference but I feel like that

Conversation is really really going to start a pick up and as far as Nick Spains we should be definitely on the internet throwing his name all over the TW the Twitter the Twitter community ities or ex communities whatever you want to call them we need to start repping Jaylen Brunson and throw his
