[Marc Stein] Dallas’ Luka Dončić (left quad) is expected to miss tonight’s game at Minnesota, league sources say. It’s the second night of a back-to-back for the Mavericks after a rough fall-from-ahead loss at home to a depleted Cleveland team.

Another star resting vs Timberwolves. We’ve been pretty lucky.

No Embiid, Halliburton, Lebron, and now Doncic. Obviously better for the team’s winning potential in the long run, but sucks as a season ticket holder who also wanted to see the stars 😂😭

I expect nothing less than some blowout win Leonard Miller minutes to vibe to tonight.

Dang… I really enjoy watching Luka play, so that’s a bit of a bummer, but I’m not opposed to anything that increases our chances of winning!

We’re one of the few teams that can actually defend him decently.

I’d take a break against us too. 😂

Let’s boost that record boys and girls!

  7. This is so fucking stuuuuuuupidddddddd it’s every single goddamn game somebody is missing man I’m so over this shit

Edit: don’t talk to me about “this will help us with playoff position”, I know it will and I don’t really care. We know we can beat bad teams and teams without their best player or two best players, we’ve seen it in basically every game this season. If we go the whole season playing teams without their primary starters playing we’re not gonna know what this team is capable of

Imagine you have a 215 million dollar contract and your excuse for a night off is “I worked yesterday”.

Meanwhile 36 year old Mike Conley is starting his 29th game out of 29 games played this year

Why it’s so hard buying tickets in the NBA. NBA markets its players and we can’t guarantee them playing

  11. Dammit, this game is my free Red Baron game. I also attended the Blazers game last year when we played against the tank commanders led by Sharpe.

It looks like 7 of our 22 wins have been against healthy, over .500 teams? Not really something we can control but it makes me a little nervous we’re not as good as our record.

The lineup of guys who have missed games against the Wolves is looking pretty deadly:

    – PG: Steph/Haliburton/Irving x2/LaMelo/D. White
    – SG: Doncic/Beal
    – SF: LeBron/Butler
    – PF: Zion x2/Markkanen
    – C: Embiid

Not to mention Ja didn’t play against the Wolves yet.

It’s funny seeing how the opposition approaches games when you’re good. They’re like, “fuck it, probably gonna lose anyways. Let’s just rest em.”

  15. kolology

don’t tell anyone else, but we’re the goddamn luckiest team in the NBA this year

Star player on another team checks the schedule…”Wolves tomorrow night? Y’know my back’s a little sore. I got to think about my load management for the whole season.”

    Next day in the boxscore:

    DNP – Wolves, Back

I’m not gonna lie Its starting to frustrate me to see all these stars dodging us at home especially as a season ticket holder. I’m glad wolves avoid for the most part resting players unless absolute necessary, and it makes me want us to win even harder.

  18. If this is all part of a larger conspiracy in our favor, I’ll grudgingly take it.
