This is a high school coach, not an NBA one
“I’m pleased with their effort.” This dude has lost his touch. The team has 5 wins, there is nothing to be pleased about. Extremely concerning hearing this sort of thing from Pop. Time to hang it up, old pal.
Love that pop, good motivation for the young guys. Individually we just aren’t there as a team because of lack of experience and skill so early into everyone’s careers. Would defo be nice to get a vet or two in
This team looks terrible out there. They can’t box out for sht, they don’t care to rebound. I guess they think rebounds and block is only Vic job. They commit stupid fouls like they did at the end of 2nd quarter. Who was it, Johnson and Osman, from players that been in the league 4+ years! And after they just walk to the foul line like nothing has happened. They don’t care because they don’t get held accountable and Pop doesn’t care! Hell his proud of the effort. With that kind of talking from their head coach no wonder they don’t give a sht!!

Why is Vassell so inconsistent offensively?
Tre Jones and Cedi Osman need to be out of this team. One can't score a wide open three and the other is horrific at everything else. Jesus the team gets so much better if you replace those two with capable defender/shooters

I am French following the spurs this year more eagerly obviously but so disappointed about the way POP managing this team.
If it’s tanking they do. It’s a shame …. Sport should be played to alway win, like in europe if you bottom 2 or 3 of the league at the end of the season then bye bye and you not coming back in the league next year but off to the G league of something..
Can’t be bothered with all this nonsense. Just play your best player and play to win. Teach them what to do and put your best player clearly Wemby in the best position so that the team may win.

I looked at stats after game and Pop is right. They just made about 6 more shots, 4 being free throws and needed to cut down turnovers.
I don't understand why he doesn't give Mamu playing time.
