Murray is the biggest name they can trade for now and it's available. They can't act like Reeves is an all-star.

The impact of the coaching cannot be understated.
During the off-season, we were able to get good players, but due to the unfortunate coaching decisions, none of them have been utilized to their full potential. The schemes and plays that have been used to get the best out of those players have been nonexistent here. So when it comes to the question of trades, what makes you think that no matter who they acquire, they will be successful here?
Austin is good, Russell can be good, Prince can be effective, Hachimura has also proven he is good, even Vanderbilt showed potential in Utah.
Our coaching staff, however, has shown they are incapable of doing anything with them that translates into winning.
No matter who you bring in, They will not be effective with the decision makers we have.
So much for the James and Davis era.
They should have kept Gabriel, at least he hustled on every play, was getting rebounds that no one is getting now, compare him to Hayes. Lonnie Walker made a difference. Pelinka is the problem, he was a player's agent, his evaluation of talent that fits a team is horrible. He just gives away the bank to the superstars.
What’s funny is “Murray killing it right now in Jan for hawks” is similar to Lavine’s stats the last FIVE YEARS (25, 5, 5 on 48/39/84). I trust Lavine as a 3P shooter and explosive scorer much more then Murray though Murray a better defender (Lavine a little underrated while Murray a little overrated).
If Lakers get Murray they need to get Bogdan & if they get Lavine need to get Caruso!
PS @ Utah has always been one of the hardest road games in my lifetime going back 40 years. Jokic is like 1-9 there his last 10 times. Altitude + crazy fan base w/ no other pro teams to cheer for and usually decent to great teams.

I’m seeing Jazz -2.5 so LeBron or AD must be out. Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s LeBron. This is what happens in general for players in year 18-22 historically, but especially with their coach moronically playing them 37-40 mins most games over a month period AFTER the 1st ever IST NBA Cup! Dantoni did this also even worse with Kobe in 2012-13, but at least that was Kobe year 17 not 21! Still inexcusable and sadly lead to his Achilles injury!

D Lo and Reaves are not PG's..if they cant shoot from the outside, they're done because they can't play defense ..Exum, Hardaway, Jr., Smart, Beal had season highs against the Lakers guards
Reeves a first and whatever makes up the salary like jhs or whatever for Murray. Find another guy for d.lo trade. He is big enough piece for a decent player back. Utah is playing well because they are well coached. Lakers have a better team top to bottom but the difference is coaching. It’s frustrating when you know the issue is the coach yet now they’re going to trade players to hide the real issue… just putting a bandaid over it.
