Lavine has played 4 playoff games in 9 + seasons. His talent translates to winning games how ? Paid like a #1 & his teams have done jack squat. Beyond this season his contract is 3yrs/138 million. Horrendous contract for empty stats on bad teams & has been way less than an iron man when it comes to injury.

Out of all the options, Lavine is the only high upside piece that IF it works out “IF” it could make us contenders. On paper he’s the type of 3rd guy we need, he’s an elite athlete, elite shooter who can get to the rim and create his shot. He’s also not as bad defensively as people think, his athleticism allows him to be decent 1 on 1. Off ball it’s were he’s actually awful, although he was decent for team usa so maybe he would be motivated while here . We also have the perfect backcourt guy for him in Vincent when he gets back(unless he’s in the trade)
