can’t say I’ve heard that term before

From my 5 minutes of Googling expertise, surgery is most likely needed. Get healthy big fella.

  3. 😭 Philly fans have been through hell. I’m just a Sixers fan but not a fan of the other teams and that’s probably for the best.

Meat flap in his knee… fuck. Can we get a break?

  5. RozayCheez

According to google. We can get him back by playoffs

  6. ShinyHardcore

Always some extra weird sht. Atleast google says 4-8 weeks

Between the Eagles, Sixers, and Flyers… was this the worst January in Philly sports history?

  8. iXProject

MVP is done, just do the best option for the playoffs

I’d expect him to opt for rest/rehab bc surgery would seem like done for season. But then he’s not gonna be actually healthy even if he does come back this year. Just terrible, fireable injury management by everyone involved to allow this to happen

“Displaced flap” can’t be an actual medical term, right?

At this point I’d weigh on season ending surgery with next year in mind. Big fella gonna be 30 with a long injury history we should prioritize his helth

I hope he chooses whichever option gives him a better quality of life long term. The NBA doesn’t deserve him and neither do we as fans.

  14. Reminder that chams also tweeted a different diagnosis earlier in the week and then had to delete the tweet (with no immediate follow up)

I’d throw $20 on him doing rest and rehab and then coming back to play at half strength for the playoffs. However, I’ll still have false hope that this year will be different.

I have never heard of this before

Yeah man this is it. This is what does me in. There’s a real possibility the process never leaves the second round. End me. Kill me. Put me in a hole in the ground.

    ah yes, the flap. Indeed…

  19. iH8Celtics

I had a feeling at the start of the year that one of our players would end up with a displaced flap

Just get the surgery. We’re not winning a championship this year anyway let’s be real.

  21. Hot-Mathematician-26

I know it sucks for the regular season, but can he please just get the surgery? Better that than the rest and treatment not working and having to get the surgery anyway. I know surgery is a serious thing, but so often the rest doesn’t work, Andrew Painter for the Phillies being a recent example. If he had gotten the surgery he’d be ready for 2024. Now after getting the surgery, he’ll only be ready for 2025

  22. PetrichorAndNapalm

Can’t they just take his butthole flaps and staple them on to his knee flaps and call it a day? I’m not a doctor fyi, don’t want to give that impression.

  23. foggyfortune

If this is indeed it for the season, I’m kind of glad it happened now and not another heartbreaking random injury in the first round that we then watch him painfully play through in the second. I hope he can get all the rest and treatment he needs to come back strong next year. I dunno, this sucks…

  24. SniperShake-

so obvious that he’s going to be out for most of the regular season, come back the week before playoffs at 50%, lose in the 1st/2nd round again, and get clowned all offseason

what is the point of being a 76ers fan.
