Not a Thunder fan, but I went to OU when his dad ran AISA (American Indian Student Association). Great guy. I remember we volunteered at a game at Norman North where III was playing and I could tell he was def pretty good but NBA didn’t enter my mind at all. Anyway, regardless as to whether he’s popular here, still a cool story (esp given the long standing OK connection).Â
Upgrading him to a standard contract I’m fine with, it being a multi year deal is absurd to me though
We have two picks in this draft that will likely be in the lottery (not to mention the other picks in this draft and upcoming drafts), he’s just going to clog up our roster spots, as harsh as that may sound

He shouldn’t really get minutes, but he seems like a good culture guy who can hit enough shots to keep leads in the 4th.
